What a major disappointment. I'm nauseated from watching that performance. We are no where near being a good team. This team, especially defensively, has taken a tumble into less than mediocrity. The offense hasn't taken that tumble because that's what they HAVE been - mediocre. Our rush defense is a killer. We can NOT stop the run. Our secondary plays okay sometimes, but not when it really counts - aside from Grimes. Everyone bitches about Sherman. And I agree - he needs to go. But so does Coyle. And if Philbin is unwilling to make those two changes, then he needs to go as well. Simple as that. This team doesn't do ANYTHING well. Where does it come from? There is no fire. There is no chest bumping. There is no team spirit whatsoever. These are a bunch of individuals. And that is a recipe for failure. This team is stoic all the goddam time. No emotion at all. This is taking on the identity of your coach(es). This is not a good thing. Look at how the players for the Jets played for Ryan: with fire and energy. We lack that. We lack everything that a good football team has. And it trickles down from the coaches. It's a pathetic shame to watch a team with more talent on paper than many of the teams we have lost to look like hot dog ****. I've not been one to call for people's heads this season. But I've held my tongue long enough - too long obviously. We need to make some drastic changes and for once I will say, for the most part (aside from the offensive line ESPECIALLY) that it isn't just players. It is a boring, non-imaginative coaching staff who lack the ability to understand how to put there best players in a position to win. Tannehill had a bad game. But I'm not laying this at his feet. We have two major issues: the offensive line (which was not an issue today) and a coaching staff that produces nothing but boredom and head scratching game plans. PLEASE for the love of the Dolphins MAKE SOME CHANGES or we WILL be last in the AFC East next season. That's a given.

Amen brother. This is the worst team to be a fan of, they raise your hopes by beating NE only to crush you with defeats to pethetics division rivals.

Can we trade our owner for someone with a clue of how to run a sports franchise?

Seriously though, if it were me, I'd fire Ireland and Philbin and most of the coaching staff. However, if Ross doesn't fire Philbin, I could live with it provided he at least considers it and puts Philbin on notice that next year the team makes the playoffs or he's out. That simple.

If Ross just casually welcomes Philbin back, then that shows we have an owner that doesn't really care or have standards for the organization, or we have an owner who has no idea what to do. Possibly both.
