I know, I know you people that don't want us to take a quarterback are probably going crazy right now.

I am not saying that we need to go QB at all.

However, if a franchise QB is there when we pick, you MUST take him (i.e. Dan Marino). Sometimes QBs slide and if they do you cannot afford to not take a chance. Especially a team that has not had a franchise QB since the 90's.

The main reason though for the necessity of these two to enter the draft is that it opens up several possibilities at our # 7-12 selection.

If these QBs come out and project in the top few picks, then Joe Thomas, Alan Branch, Leon Hall, Gaines Adams, Adrian Peterson, etc. will fall farther down.

The bottom line is simple. The more better players that enter the better chance we have of landing one.:D

I want russel he has been coached by saban and hes big like daunte:D

Let's just hope a there's a QB worth taking on Day 1 if we get a chance.

However, I think Brohm is more the proto typical QB that succeeds in the NFL. We need one that thinks pass first and run second. QBs who think run first and pass second, don't win super bowls.

I agree.
Two years ago if Matt Linehart and D'brickashaaw had come out(when we had the #2 overall), we would've had many more options.
If the top of the draft is loaded with blue chippers, getting one won't be as hard someone has to fall.

I hope that they enter so that there are more teams to trade down with hopefully.....We need to accumulate picks bad and get some young quality depth added to the roster.

Trading down is the best idea.
Look at what San Diego accumulated by trading the rights to Michael Vick and Eli Manning.
Multiple first day picks is the best way to build a strong team. We need more picks and then we can't reach and blow the picks.
(John Avery,Yatil Green,JJ Johnson,Eddie Moore,Jamaar Fletcher,Wade Smith,Brent Smith,Kirk Painter, Dorian Brew, Larry Shannon...and so on)

My guess is Brohm no, Russel yes.

From the standpoint of the more the merrier yes, the more underclassman that declare the greater our chances of landing some serious talent to help our most neediest areas.

Are there any highly rated QB's in this draft that fit the 'run first' mentality?? I don't think so.

Brohm shouldn't be in the same paragraph as Marino and he's not coming out.

He's starting to become as irritating a topic as McPherson was. Get over it, he's staying.

I just do not want to draft a QB in the first round for the sake of taking a QB and declaring him a franchise QB only to be let down. I want a prototype QB. Not some 6'1 guy who comes from a college gimmick offense.
