Ok, I'm not saying Chad Henne has to be the next Peyton Manning or anything. But if there was anything I saw in our players this year that pissed me off, it was the lack of dedication. Channing Crowder gave up on so many plays that he could have made the tackle if he hustled, and the list goes on. I have ESPN Insider and this was one of the things that stuck out to me a lot. It's what Jags owner Wayne Weaver told QB David Garrard:

""I tell a story about Peyton Manning when [Indianapolis] drafted Pierre Garcon and Peyton Manning drove three hours twice a week because this kid couldn't come to the OTAs and train because of his graduating class. He drove three hours twice a week to throw to this kid, to teach him how to be a pro, how to work. We need to do more of that here. David just needs to do more of that with our young receivers.""

This is with a 6th round draft pick... Not the hyped-up first rounder that everyone expects to be the next Randy Moss. Manning shows this much dedication to succeed to a relatively unknown receiver that was drafted in the second to last round in the NFL draft. That is dedication, and why I respect Peyton Manning so much. And this lack of dedication is what we desperately need and what really ticks me off when I never see it in our players.

Very good point! Peyton is a true professional and a perfectionist! In reality though very few players have ever put in the extra effort Peyton hasa. Not even his brother!

The only thing we need from Peyton Manning is a clutch performance next Sunday.

I wont hold my breath.

Its hard to find Peyton Mannings. Theres only one Peyton Manning. But your absoultley right, the players on Miami should definatley show more hustle and dedication to what they get paid millions of dollars to do.

Peyton's dedication and work ethic can't be duplicated. I'm not sure anyone in the league works as hard at their craft. However, I think you will see an offseason of hard work from Chad Henne. Now that he knows he's the starter going into next year, I think you will seem him getting his timing down with our receivers and continuing to work on some of the throws that troubled him over the year.

That's what people forget about QBs. They're not finished products physically when they come into the league. Peyton, Brady, Steve Young...all of them have talked about learning to make certain throws, footwork, ball fakes...all of these things that polish a QB's game are done in the offseason. I hope the staff actually puts a watch on Henne's throws this offseason, because he is the type of worker that can throw himself into a dead arm come training camp.

Reminds me of a guy we once had here, I think his name was Zach Thomas....I remember reading about him spending like 20 hours a week or more watching tape of upcoming opponents just so he could be in the right place at the right time. Like someone already said, all you read about now [twitter] is players doing everything but worrying about Football. They spend more time playing Modern Warfare 2, than preparing for Football games because it "relaxes" them.

And we need to bring him in for one of our LB position coaches!

Hard work? Studying?

Isn't that the stuff teachers and parents make you do?

**** that ****.
