Pretty sad when the most physical hitter on defense is 185 pound cornerback Brent Grimes. We have way too many finesse players on both sides of the ball. Get some thumpers on our team!! Whether it's linebackers, defensive backs or o-linemen we need some tough guys who will hit!!!

I agree although I do think we are trending up. You gotta have some physical and emotional players. I always hated that about us. Nobody who is just a flat out monster anywhere on the team. Wake is close but he even seems to play alittle soft sometimes.

The only physical player we have is tannehill. And he can't do it all himself

Yes. They are way too soft. Would love to have a punishing Linebacker or two, not to mention a safety that scares opposing WRs.

Nah, we have some hitters. Dlinemen are some nasty mofos but we do need a star Lber.the Oline on the other hand needs to play nasty, f t.he finesse dudes that can't get any push.

Btw, is there another Earl Thomas in the draft?

We have not had any big hitters at safety since Louis Oliver. And Cameron Wake is not a big hitter. Yes he's a pass rusher but he doesn't lay the wood. None of our linebackers can hit.

I bet you Cam Newton thinks Cameron Wake can lay some wood.

I agree with you all. However the League is softening the game nowadays. They throw flags if you hit a guy the wrong way, and hit your pocketbook. I believe there a re players that will clobber you but the league is turning the league into powder puff football. Before long it will be the american flag football league.

I don't think we necessarily need more physicality on defense because our defense has performed pretty damn good on a consistent basis this season.

Every thread about improvement should be focused on the offense, which has dragged this team down for a decade.

Who gives a ****?! Sometimes you need to lay someone out! It is worth the 15 yards for the psychological impact if nothing else.

Props for the Louis Oliver reference. He's the reason I played safety and wore #25 through high school and college.

To say the league is softening is an understatement.. Defenses is afraid to hit these days, a perfect example was last nights MNF game... a SF defender came into the receivers chest with his shoulder, just as the receiver caught the ball and was turning upfield... The result of the hit was the receiver lost the catch and it went for an INC... but the ref threw the flag and called it unsportsman like conduct, which gave the Falcons a 1st down instead of trying for a long field goal..

Guys like Jack Tatum, Ronnie Lott, Mike Ditka and Mel Blount could never play in todays pansyass league
