All the talk of who we want to be coach is an issue and right to talk about for sure. However....., the talk RIGHT NOW needs to center around the GM spot. The new GM must have drafting/f-a chops or we are doomed from the get go.
2 things needed to happen:
1. Gase needed to be fired. BADA-BING!!
2. Tannenbum needed to be fired..... .
I am worried that tbum may be keeping his job. This should have happened in tandem with gase getting the heave-ho. Remember, he and ross are good pals going waaay back. Tbum is a MASTER at laying blame and pointing fingers for his benefit. No one wanted tbum, NO ONE!! No one but ross. If Tbum stays, coach wont matter much because he will be instrumental in hiring him and when is the last time a tbum move worked out?
Experienced winner/drafter or leauge wide respected up and comer that most feel is the real deal is what is needed. We have to have a true football man in the GM spot. I want the GM in place before ANY coach move happens. I want the GM hiring HIS coach. Mayock would have been a great choice as he has played and he has his ear tuned to todays game, astute draft anylist and knows the nfl coaching pool. Supposedly gruden had this deal done a while back. No one had a shot at him. SO......? WHO fits that bill? Or closest to him?
