If we win 3 out of our last 4 games we have a good shot at making the playoffs. If the Ravens go 2-2 and we go 3-1 then we are in. I can see the ravens losing at Detroit and against cincinatti so if we handle our business we should make the playoffs.

We need wins against the Steelers, Jets, and either Pats or Buffalo. That's the playoff recipe. If we beat Pittsburgh I will feel good. If I'm coach Philbin I'm turning the team's attention immediately to Pittsburgh!

I think that maybe the Pats are a much bigger threat to the Ravens than Cinnci...

Pittsburgh is THE game. We lose that, we can pack our bags....we win it, I think we are in.

Truth is we've blown a golden opportunity to make the playoffs this season and this year has the makings of a typical Dolphins season of the last 4 years. Next week is an extremely big challenge @ Pitt. Let's start with there and move forward.

I thought 4-2 in our last 6. It really hurt that we lost a game that we clearly should have won versus Carolina, but we can still accomplish that with 3-1 in the last 4 after what we did today. I am not about to say that Baltimore should or could lose any of their last four, even though they've been as mediocre as us this years, with their lows far worse than ours. Last year, everybody counted them out all the way to their SB victory. Likewise, I won't count out Pittsburgh unless we knock them off next week.

Yep and why I feel this steelers game is really important. Fins chances of winning 3 out of 4 games is more likely with a win next week, vs fins losing against steelers and then having to beat pats the following week.

You mean we need to go 4-0 and hope the Ravens go 3-1. Give me a break dude. Didn't the Ravens win the Super bowl last year? You expect them to finish out the year knowing the playoffs are on the line going 2-2?

We can get in at 8-8 as long as Baltimore isn't the only other team at 8-8. Head to head only comes into effect if every team that's the same record has played the others. Otherwise it goes to conference record. Thanks to wins over San Diego, Cincy and Indy, our conference record is actually pretty good.

ESPN has a playoff simulator where you can work it out. 9-7 makes the playoffs very likely. At 8-8 it's still reasonably possible.

yeah its hard to see a w against the pats but it could happen though im not confidant.

While at the beginning of the year I predicted that the Ravens wouldn't make the playoffs, I don't see them going 2-2 in the end of this season. Dolphins need to win out, don't expect on the Ravens to lose more than 1 game. Dolphins miss out the playoffs because they should have won many more games this year that they lost earlier this season.

The Ravens' remaining games:

Minnesota at home.
At Detroit
Patriots at home
At Bengals

They have losses this year to Denver, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
