w/ culpepper's knee in question and his somewhat shaky play to start the season last year, we need to find a way to keep gus to have a reliable back up so we can have a successful season even if things don't work out w/ daunte. hopefully he can restructure his contract of 7 mill which seems way to high for a backup. he would be lucky to be asssured of starter anywhere else and he is already comfortable here. as brad johnson showed last year, a good back up is so valuable in this league. let's keep gus!!!
