The last two games Isiah Pead has looked like the guy the rams thought they traded for back in 2012. 4 carries for 48 yards last night and 10 carries for 50 yards the previous week. I think he has a chance to maybe start if we can see what he looks like with the ones.

He has been more impressive than Ajayi no doubt. I'd like to see him with the 1s against the Falcons.

Pead has been a lot like Lamar Miller in that he has 90 yards on 14 carries and 71 of those yards came on two carries. So that means he's averaging a little over two yards per carry on the other 12. I think Pead, Daniel Thomas and Damien Williams have had their moments in the two games where they looked like a decent option for the number four spot. But right now I'm all in on chasing Karlos Williams, he could transform this offense if he gets his head right.

The Dolphins need chunk yardage plays in the run game. Pead is the only guy that has shown he can provide that. Randomly selecting which carries, receptions, passes, is short sighted of what's actually occurring.

He's looked good in both games. Not the guy you want to have as a feature back IMO but as the third or fourth guy with some plays designed to get him in the open field I think he can give us much needed big plays. I like him better than DT or Williams if we go with Foster and Ajayi as the first two backs.
Nice change of pace player.

Damien Williams, on the hand, looks like a terrible runner.

Williams and Thomas should be cut. I wish Drake was out there but these were our picks and normally our high picks miss time. It seems to be every year. Our 2nd and 3rd round pick have yet to see the field. Not expecting anything from either for the first month of the season as they have a lot of catching up to do plus the teams we're playing early. A good chance for Pead to get some snaps.

Ozzy rules!!

I'm not saying he didn't look good on those two plays, just saying he's not a back you could count on for most of his carries. As a fourth back Pead has looked very good.

If a man took an honest assessment of our RB's, Pead would be our #1RB.

Of course:

1) He hasn't gone against the ones;
2) He is smallish
3) Foster may not be going full speed as this is the pre-season (and he has had no holes)...

Bottom line though, Pead sticks to the 53.

DT has been running hard though...too bad it is not reliable. He needs to start managing a Enterprise car rental location.

Also, I know why the coaches like Damien, he looks the part, body of Apollo....however, he just can't get it done on a consistent basis.

I don't see how we can praise Pead for what he's doing now and disregard his ineffectiveness in the past and at the same time say Thomas has looked good but he's not reliable because of his past? It comes accross like we're just holding a grudge.

I forgot about Drake. Easy to do given he has hardly ever been on the field due to injuries. As a high draft pick his spot is a given so Pead would be the fourth RB if he sticks.

Maybe the light has come on. His history includes a few injuries so it doesn't appear that he just flat out sucked. Maybe, just maybe, he can have an injury free year and provide solid #3/4 RB services.
