When Shula left this was one of the most prestigous jobs in all of sports. Now it feels like we are settling for equipment managers etc...
Im sorry but I look at Gailey and reminds me of Lou Holtz ... In other words I would rather have someone else.
I understand that we don't want to go after the sexy choice (ie Cower, Carroll etc...), But getting turned down by baby shotty and interviewing more defensive coaches than not... Im overwelmed!! As a season ticket holder I can only Imagine the reaction tihs team will get if they start off like last year. People gave Saban the benefit of the doubt, but I don't know how patient the fans will be with a retread or unproven coach.
Regardless I hope Gailey stays in Gtech,

I really wonder if some of you actually watch football at all.

I watch and am very passionate about my team!! I love to tailgate, love to talk smack, enjoy the anticipation of the season and most of all I HATE LOSING!!

So stop winning like a loser. If Chan Gailey gets the HC what yah gonna do? Cry about it? You're not gonna stop watching the Fins cauze anybody as addicted as we are just can't do it. So support your club and pull for the guy. He's had a solid career in the NFL and he may shock the world. Who was Don SHula before he became Don Shula? Who was Lombardi? These guys were nobody until they proved themselves. Gailey wins one SB and oh boy, what a change of tune. Everyone's negativity is not helping a problem we have no power to reslolve.

The Dolphins didn't get turned down by Brian Schotty. He just withdrew his candidacy. Brian probably saw the writing on the wall that he was just too young (33) and didn't have the experience to be a HEAD coach just yet. The people in Atlanta thought Mora, Jr. was a bit young at age 40 when he got the Falcons HC job in 2004. Only ONE year as an NFL OC just isn't enough and he hasn't been a college OC or HC either from what I read. Brian also noticed that we already offered a contract to Dom Capers to stay on as the DC. Maybe he didn't like that idea. Dom is about 24 years older than him. The Jets probably also gave him a little contract extension too for all we know.

could not agree more gailey suuuuux and so does mora i think people are just wanting to hurry up and get a coach and thats what you will get just a coach

Look...I think it is very clear that Wayne has learned his lesson. Reguardless of what happens, we are going to see an offensive minded coach up in here. Not to mention that he obviously wanted continuity on the D by keeping Capers around with a nice FAT paycheck. Looks to me like we are headed in the right direction. He has already stated that the coach no longer has full control, which is fantastic. We do not have a bad owner guys. Just with the bubble he built for us last year, he showed that he wants to build us a winner, he just needs help figuring out how to get there. We have Capers, who is a solid D-coordinator....Now we just got to can Mularky and get some offensive minds in the Aqua and Orange polo shirts on the sideline...Actually, I am pretty Geeked about this whole thing and very optomistic. Keep your heads up Dolphin fans. We are in the right direction.
