What do you think our biggest positional needs are for next year?

At the moment i believe our weekest spots are WR, FS and CB and latter 2 is massively letting down our passing defence, although i think next year the Golden 3 will want young, big, run stuffing DT as priority so that he will have young front 3 for yrs to come.

As Big Bill and his disciple little Bill always feed the front to build their roster and i believe we have got the O line to be very good next year.

Would love draft order to go, hoping players fall into position:-

DT
CB
FS
WR
ILB
OLB (pass rushing)
O line

Our Special Team's guys.

1. ILB (both 1st team and special teams)- critical need
2. Guard-critical need
3. NT-critical need
4. CB-above average need
5. Center-above average need
6. WR-average need

I would draft a CB, MLB, S, with my first three picks (first round, and two second rounders) then go BPA.

are we going to draft bpa or we going to draft for need? i would rather they go bpa myself

It is always a combination of both.
Do not reach- but never take a HB when you have 3 all pro's

well yeah i mean within reason, obviously not taking another tackle with our first pick, maybe we will get lucky again and have the best corner and LB in the draft fall to our spot

Well let's say Miami has the 18th overall pick and Michael Crabtree was still on the board.....you would be crazy not to take him. :d-day: But, I think most of the very top guys at their position go in the first 15 picks or so, so I think we need to focus on getting the best D-back at this spot whether it is a Safety or Cornerback...same thing with Linebacker. I would probably focus on these three spots first and then maybe go BPA after this.

Ohhh I just remembered Crabtree will not be coming out this year....

I say...

1) Pass Rush (which points to OLB and ILB)
a) OLB
b) ILB
2) NT (Fergie puts ZERO pressure or ZERO movement towards the backfield for the O linemen or even Fergie which affects our pass rush as well and lanford/merling dont do much on putting pressure. Starks might be our 2nd best pass rusher)
3) G and C. (if thomas comes back adn smiley health we are good if not we are screwed b/c RG right now before smiley was a mess and Satele has gone backwards.)
4) CB (Everyone shoudl know why)
5) Safety (FS and depth at SS if bell is resigned)
6) WR

We need a beast at ILB that flies around and makes tackles everywhere for sure. Its not a bad thing at all, but I don't like it when our SS is leading us in tackles, because that means he got there before our LB's.. who should have of course been there way before him

We are almost 100 percent agreement. I am more worried about ILB I am not completely sold on anyone we have here now- let alone our depth. (which could solve our ST problems also)

As for gaurd- Just like I wouldnt call anyone a bust their first year in the NFL i would not put my hopes in thomas before his first complete game. And even with smiley there is absolutly no excuse we struggle to pick up 2 yards when we need them. I like our pass blocking but our run blocking (on standard run plays) is pretty much a joke.

I think you nailed on everything else
:woot:

1. CB (unless terrance cody is there)
2. DT (CB if we took terrance cody)
2. FS
3. ILB
4. Pass rusher
5. O-line
6. Nickel CB
7. WR (maybe we'll get another devone bess)

Bootom line for us is that BP, JI, and TS are not gonnna screw this draft up (i.e. saban, cameron, wannstedt etcc. etc. etc.) I guarentee, BP will find us at LEAST 3 starters for years and years to come. He WON'T pull a saban. IMO this draft is in good hands, we fans have nothing to worry about. BP will get the job done, and get it done right.

Yup, they know what they're doing. I'm very excited, and if we can win games with basically half this team with less than stellar players starting, I can't wait for next year.. gonna be a great one.. correction: better one.
