Hi there guys, going to be honeymooning in florida very soon and myself and my new wife to be (This saturday!!!) have tickets to the bucs-fins game. Im pretty sure from having watched games on tv that rival fans just sit amongst themselves, so if i wear my fins jersey am i likely to get any trouble?

Its just that in the UK we have pretty strict rules on team colours, and due to potential crowd trouble we have a designated away end for supporters.

Cant remember the seat numbers, but we are in the opposite stand to the pirate ship.

Cheers :)

You'll be fine, bloke.

Just as long as you don't do anything stupid, that is.

I've never done it for football, but I've been to a few road baseball games, and I've gotta say, if you keep it civil, it is so much fun to talk to people who are rooting for the other team. Makes it that much more entertaining.

No worries. Especially for the bucs game. You will have many fin fans there to celebrate with. Generally you can wear your jersey's to away games with no problems. I remember i went to marino's last game at Jacksonville and we got blown out. Overall though the fans did not bother me all that much, besides some well deserved critism.

Raymond james is a nice stadium. I was on the field for the UF-Michigan outback bowl a while ago and i enjoyed myself there...

So wear your colors proudly, and prepare to cheer for Ricky and Ronnie!

I've worn my Fins jerseys to a few stadiums around the league and never had any hassles. I'm sure if you are loud and talking smack that it could be a tough game but I wouldn't expect any problems.

I'm sure some people will "razz" you a little but that's to be expected.

Now if you were a J-E-T-S fan in a green jersey coming down to Miami for a game.....there could be some trouble......

:buttkick:

I went to a Bills-Phins game in Buffalo all by myself and wore my colors proud. There were many more Phin fans in my section than I thought there would be. Didn't have any problems at all.

Don't sweat it. You are talking about Tampa Bay....its not Philly or Oakland. I'll be there as will thousands of other Dolfans. As long as you are not an absolute pain in the a$$, it will not be a problem.

im glad u guys can say that...up here if u walk into a public establishment with nfl merchandise not relating to the eagles...u get sprayed with a$$hole chants for a good 5 mins...its all about the location

Hope you and your new spouse enjoy your visit to the "Land of the Free and Home of the Brave". Congratulations! Any way to get to your point, there are stadiums in the US where unless you travel in large groups you may be asking for trouble. However I think that is definately a minority. I'm sure you can expect mostly good natured and high spirited verbal jabbing. I'm familiar with your side of the "pond" and the shenanigans that generally accompany a "football match" (soccer game). Don't expect that type of thing in Tampa. Wear your colors proudly "GO PHINS"!

I went to the Colts Fins game in Indy a while ago when Ricky ran all over them, I wore my jersey and my face paint and had a lot of people talk trash and they gave out little blow up frisby's and I got hit with about 50 of those when I was standing up cheering. But its nothing like a soccer game were the whole stadium is going to pounce on a couple people for another city if that is what your worried about.

I was at RFK a few months back when the Cubs came into town. The Nats were up earlier, but when the Cubs came back, half the stadium chanted Cubs rants. My god was it a weird night or what. Nats won anyway, Cub fans

i went to a fins games game in STL a few years ago and ppl game me sh it but everyone was nice, in general.

I've been to an Eagles game in Phins colors and a Ravens game with other Steeler fans (i had my Phillies shirt on) I was hassled in a "Dolphins suck" way. But nobody beat me up, or threatend me or threw anything at me. You have to be a real obnoxious idiot for that to happen to you. I went to a Phillies game where a Colorado Rockies fan (yeah, i said ROCKIES) was being loud and obnoxious and he got pelted with popcorn. But if you cheer when your team does well, dont heckle or anger the people around you. You shouldn't have a problem.
