### Want to amuse Dolphins players? Just ask them about Knowshon Moreno’s strange behavior during games. (Hey, whatever works.)
Let Ryan Tannehill explain it:
“When it’s a TV timeout and we’re all sitting in the huddle talking with each other and he’s five yards away, flexing and looking into the crowd, it’s different,” Tannehill said today. “I’ve never been around anyone that does that. It’s kind of fun. I look at him and I’m like, ‘Guys, do you see this guy?’ They’re like, ‘Yeah, he’s out there.’”
“He’s kind of off on his own, talking to himself, staring off into the crowd, but he’s intense. He’s focused on what he has to do, he runs hard and I love it. I love being in the huddle with him.”
### The Dolphins are trying to bring new linebacker Kelvin Sheppard up to speed very quickly, because he could be one of only four or five healthy linebackers on the active roster Sunday if Philip Wheeler joins Koa Misi, Jordan Tripp and out-for-the-season Dannell Ellerbe on the sidelines. (Chris McCain’s status is in doubt because he has missed the past two days of practice with an illness. He played through a hip injury last weekend.)
One concern about Sheppard: During his three-plus year career with the Bills and Colts, 50 passes have been thrown with Sheppard in coverage and 39 have been completed, for 354 yards, or 9.1 per reception.
In practice this week, Jason Trusnik has been playing middle linebacker (in place of Misi) and Jelani Jenkins has been getting first-team snaps at Ellerbe's weak-side linebacker spot. Jonathan Freeny and Sheppard can play Wheeler's strongside linebacker spot. Wheeler has been limited in practice because of a thumb injury.
### It will be interesting to see what kind of damage Cam Wake can do on Sunday against former Hurricanes player Seantrel Henderson, now Buffalo’s starting right tackle after being drafted in the seventh round this past May.
Bills coach Doug Marrone said that “anything we heard that was a red flag” about Henderson "has been just the opposite. We’ve had no [problems] at all… It’s a credit to the young man.... He's a heck of a football player. What's there not to like?”
Henderson allowed a sack Sunday against Chicago.

Gotta love Moreno's passion for the game. So unique and respected among teammates.

‘He’s been our bell cow,’ says coach John Fox, evoking the bovine metaphor that coaches lovingly employ to describe the most reliable of running backs. Moreno has earned Manning’s trust and respect, and there is no more valuable currency in the Broncos’ locker room—or in any locker room west of Foxborough. ‘He’s a horse,’ says Manning, opting for the equine metaphor. ‘I love his passion. I love his intensity. I love having him standing next to me back there. It’s a very comfortable feeling.’”

The respect and admiration that coaches and teammates have for Moreno is unmistakable. Even guys he competes with for playing time praise his leadership and professionalism. So given all that, and the fact that a new contract is looming once the season is over, why the tears? “Not uncommon at all,” Moreno says. “It’s always been that way for me, all the way back to high school and college. During the anthem it’s always quiet and still, so I take in the moment and say a little prayer. Usually there’s no camera on me. I thank the Lord for letting me play the game. I thank Him for everything. I run through my whole life right there at that moment. Even the bad stuff.”

I never thought I would enjoy watching this guy run but he has already become my favorite RB. He runs hard while being elusive and has great vision but my favorite part of his game is his heart. He is the heart of this offense.

Moreno sounds charmingly quirky and highly spirited. I love it. Can't wait to see him play.

On the LB front, I anticipate a lot of 5-2 vs Bills.

moreno is completely nuts, lol. hey, whatever works, bro. he's my kind of crazy then...

He is talking to God. Very spiritual. He is a believer.

Very powerful stuff. He is going to inspire people bigtime.

he's the drew brees of running backs. it took a few years, the lights came on, excellence from here on out.

Why on earth did the Broncos not re-sign this guy?

Moreno will easily eclipse 1000 yards. Huge mistake on their part. Moreno is a problem, and defensive coordinators have to be concerned with our run game.

No one talks about Freeney but the kid is solid. I watched him At Rutgers and I trust him on the field more than Wheeler...let the kid get some reps!

Knowshon's desire to straight up own the opposition is evident each and every time he carries the football.

Notice after being brought to the ground by defenders he's usually the first one to pop up as if he enjoys the contact and is sending the message that they can't handle him.

He's so electrifying and is exactly the spark our team needs. Truly a joy to watch play.

We only have him for one year. I wonder how long the FO will wait before trying to sign him for another 2-3 years.

im sure the broncos wanted to save $ at RB to shore up the defense, therefore they let him go. they gambled that montee ball is the guy. adding ware and talib is probably the better move for them

I too really enjoyed seeing the fire he ran with. He was impressive to say the least.

However, this board is so bi-polar that it will be borderline hysterical to witness the berating he receives if he doesn't produce in the buffalo game. The same people that are crowning him after one game will be crucifying him after the same one game.

Well I will say that I was not highly impressed by Montee Ball for the Broncos the other night.

Emotion is part of football. I think that's something Joe Philbin has underestimated in the past. Hopefully not in the future.
