little self-indulged experiment, sorry... i'll try to give 3 picks a week and stay above 52.5%... and yes i'll submit them before kickoff, and i'll document results... pass or fail...

Week 1:

1. Ravens +3: (8u)... Colts 24, Ravens 7 (Loss)
2. Giants (-2): (7u)... Giants 42, Cards 19 (Win)
3. Packers/Lions over (46): (5u). Lions 17, Packers 3 (Loss)

1-2; -6 units.... tough week... forget about it, line up, and run it again

1) Cincy -3 1/2 @ Cleveland...Cincy 27-13 (WIN)
2) St. Louis -6 1/2 @ San. Fran...San. Fran 28 - 25 (LOSS)

though i lean toward Philly, i'll be taking a pass on tonight's game...

while i question Atlanta's ability to pass with their "receivers," i also question Philly's ability to stop the run with so much turnover along the D-line... Atlanta may lead the league in rushing this year...

also, i learned long ago that betting against a home team on monday night is never a strong choice... stay away!

the funny thing is...i wanted to stay away from this game all along...i got myself in a hole (not too bad) so i almost got caught up in tonight's game.

so staying away may be the best thing to do...i agree with your "educated" assumption.

Next weekend...is a new weekend to start fresh...i guess.
