It's a pretty simple formula, we probably need to win all but one of our remaining six games to take homefield advantage, and even that may not be enough. The great thing here is that our boys really have their own fate in their hands as they have the opportunity to take out two of the teams that are just a game back, and have the opportunity to knock off two of their key AFC West challengers. This should be a good month and a half of football!

and if you take a look at the teams we can probably beat any of those playoff teams up there.

The way the NFL season is going you could win all those games or drop all those games. You will probably fall in the middle, go 3-3 and be in the pack like the rest of the AFC.

And the Bills???

Love to know where you see the Bills, then. Do they "fall in the middle," too?

Apologies in advance if my post "sounds" antagonistic, Hoov. We both know you're not my favorite poster here but that's not going to stop me from reading/responding to your posts. Only, I promise to be "civil". :p

Anywayz...

If anyone has an "easy" schedule remaining it's got to be New England (but they seem to have forgotten how to run the ball consistently [something the Bills seem to be getting better and better at, unfortunately]).

The Jets seem to be the only "hot" team in the East right now. Playing better and better all the time. Pennington's inexperience could pose a problem in big/playoff games, though. However, on the plus side, Curtis Martin is arguably the best RB in the East and he's coming on.

The Bills have Bledsoe, T. Henry and great receivers. But on defense? Still too many '???'. However, to their credit, the defense has improved. Personally, I'm not too impressed with the Bills coaching and that could (in my opinion) really cost them in a big/playoff game.

The 'Phins only real question mark is and has been (in my opinion)... "When is Fiedler coming back?" The defense looks playoff ready and the special teams are, with a couple of exceptions, solid. However, as we have seen, all this is for naught if the QB can't lead his team. Fortunately, this is something that appears to be righting itself. All the better for Miami since, as we saw this week, having a solid backup is a MUST in this league.

Well, those are my ramblings for the day.

Hope things can be/have smoothed out between us, Hoov.

Sorry for being a "pr*ck" towards you in the past.

This should all just be in good fun, right?

I see the Fish going 3-3. 2-4 if Fielder takes longer to come back. I see the Jets at 3-3 (W against Buff, Chicago, Denver) The Pats at 4-2 and Buffalo at 2-4.

That leaves us at

Miami 9-7 (8-8)
Pats 9-7
Jets 8-8
Buffalo 7-9

An injury, Feilder taking to long, a bad call, a couple breaks and the teams shuffle around.

I think you're being severely pessismistic here. You all will nail the Jets, I'm pretty sure of it. However, I think we will go 4-2, 5-1 in the last 6 games, primarily because Ray is finally playing mistake-free ball......

Good description of the 2002 season.

Yep. Accurate description of the NFL in 2002. And there are still SIX games left PLUS the playoffs.
