Yep! Some consider him slow because he didn’t defeat angles on his runs. What’s interesting non of the other top 5 players did either.

I liked what I have seen from him, broadcasters always seem to say positive things because he produces more often than not when he gets touches. If he stays healthy I have no problem with him and a rook next year carrying the load. He is exciting!

Never really understood the emphasis on the 40. Straight line running in no pads.

Both Washington and Ahmed looked CLEARLY faster than Gaskins, that’s the first thing I noticed watching both run the ball. Both ran with speed and burst. Ahmed looked really good this past week.

but hey in that clip he is up to 21.03 before being pushed out... that’s fast, probably could’ve got up higher too with more room

maybe he prepared poorly for the 40 or pulled up lame or had a bad start, idk, but he clearly ran it slow

He is definitely fast. But he seems quicker more than anything. He definitely seems quicker than Breida who may have faster straightline speed.

I have said it twice already, I think this guy is our best runner hands down. His runs pop. I have high hopes for this kid.

I have argued... many times... that 40 speeds are one of the most misused and unimportant stats that we use.

Running a sprint, in shorts, isn't football. It requires no vision, no anticipation, and there is no one trying to kill you while you run. A good part of your 40 is determined by your start... which again, is not a football skill.

Ahmed sees things quickly and makes smart decisions, and as this tape confirms... he's football fast. Right now, the hole in his game is pass-blocking... and considering how few carries he had in college... THAT might be a work in progress.

Ahmed is better than Gaskin... already, and he'll get better.
