Not to rain on Buffalo's parade. But week 5 we can take a commanding lead in the AFC East.

Point 1 - New England @ Atlanta: New England is playing a very good defensive team with a rush offense that doesnt quit because of Hybrid QB Vick which said most likely he will play next week despite injuries. So I am gonna say that New England loses 2 in a row.

Point 2 - Tampa Bay @ New York Jets: The Jets are coming off of a horrible offensive performance against a subpar Ravens defense. I dont see the Jets beating a hot slightly overrated (but not by much) Tampa Bay team with Superbowl 40 on their mind. if Brook struggles look to see Vinny take over in the 2nd half but not very effective seeing that he will only be a 10-11 day vet of the Jets offense. Therefore I predict a Jets loss.

Point 3 - Miami @ Buffallo: This game is very tricky seeing it is inter divisional play, and we all know that any team in the AFC East has the capability to beat any team in the AFC East. (see last years MNF MIAMI vs. New England)
The Bills offense is not looking any better there defense has slipp a little with the loss of Takeo. But they are still a team that can surprise Miami. But with me being a Dolphin Phan I dont see that happening. So I predict a Miami victory.

End result being we take a 2 game lead over the New England Patriots in the Division. And alot of press and recognition in week 5. The press will be all over us.

Please give me some feedback on what you guys think Bills, Jets, & Patriots fans please give me your opinions as well.

Heres to the AFC EAST Hardest division in Football.

Not this year my man. I agree with you though. We should have a 2 game lead on the Pats by the end of this week.

Ummm... the jets played the ravens last night...and the bills played the saints....You might want to edit that.

Patriots win, We win/Buffalo loses, Jets lose

As nice as it could be to go two up on the Patsies, there's no way they have too much trouble with Vick, gimpy knee and all. Atlanta is just not that good. Patriots prove they still are, 33-13.
Buffalo is no cakewalk, they'll have a good game for every bad one, and now they are due for a string of good ones. But give Saban two weeks to prepare and we win, 20-17.
Jets are no pushovers either. I mean, did any of us seriously think they were a threat because of Pennington or Fielder? Solid defense and Curtis Martin are what makes this team tick, as long as they can throw the ball occasionally to keep defenses somewhat honest. Vinny is a horrible pickup, they would be better off looking toward Couch right now. They'll be better later on, but not until they figure the QB thing out. Nugent gets plenty of practice in their 23-9 loss.

If we're gonna do well in the division, we have to start beating division opponents. Doing well because we didn't play one week is a hollow victory, wait till we starting beating up on the Bills before we make anymore playoff predictions.

I will agree that now is the time to pounce. The Jets will probably drop one against the Bucs. Though i worry on that one because the Bucs have yet to go against a serious contender yet. (Vikes1-3, Bills 1-3, Packers 0-3, Detroit 1-2) And the Lions gave them a scare. If Caddie runs well though, expect the jets to lose.

I think we will beat the bills. Run it up the gut and don't look back. Need to hear more then read this: http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=100833

Never underestimate the Pats. I put them against the falcons at 50-50. Honestly though when was the last time they lost 2 straight? Vick will be slowed down a little bit with a strained MCL and a tweaked Hamstring. But recently the Pats O has had problems... I will be watching this game. if all goes well it will look like this

Miami- 3-1
Pats 2-3
Jets 1-4
Bills 1-4

But i think it will look like this
Fins 3-1
Pats 3-2
Jets 1-4
Bills 1-4

not to change the topic or anything, but the next 2 weeks, will definatly define the division.
the fins can eather pull away, or drop to 3rd.

i dont see the jets winning ANY games with.... whats his name.... at QB. so forget about them. loose to T. Bay, and bills. 1-5 after 6 games. (yeah, my bills win a game :D )

the pats play atlanta. atlanta is playing like a SB contender, while the pats have problems of their own. they can then beat up denver to go 3-3 after 6 weeks.

now for the fins. the fins can be 4-1 or 2-3. you shouldnt look past Tampa. they have a good D. i wont even go into the bills game, we will see about that on sunday. but IF the fins get to 4-1.... they have a shot at taking the division. but ill say the fins loose both (you know i had to), and are 2-3 after 6 weeks.

the bills face the fins and then the Jets. we can be 3-3 or 1-5.
as i said earlier, **** the jets, we should beat them. and i think i also said we beat the fins... so i say the bills are 3-3 after 6 weeks, and tied for the lead :D .

so these next 2 weeks are critical for all the teams. except the jets. **** the jets.

In any case, it'll be fun to see the Dolphins, on the road after a bye-week. See how a 'Saban team' arrives at Buffalo. How prepared, focused and full of adjustments. It's yet another test for Saban!

I agree with your take. I too would take ATL over NE, TB over NYJ, and us over BUF. Not to nit-pick, but the most we could be would be 1-1/2 games ahead since we have played one less game (3-1 to 2-3 = 1-1/2 game lead).

I don't feel comfortable counting on the Pats to drop two in a row. I am quite sure they see what we see.

The Pats got beat by a VERY good Charger team and after coming off a huge effort vs Pittsburg. Don't take anything from them yet, BUT if they lose this week there will be blood in the water.

Agreed, the Pats are still a very good team. However, injuries and key player/coaching defections are starting to show cracks and vulnerabilites in the team. The Pats look very beatable now where last year a loss seemed like a real fluke upset.

If Pittsburgh hadn't gone into a prevent defense they would have won that game and the Pats would have dropped 2 in a row. Pittsburgh were their own worst enemy at the end of that game.

NE game will be close and I think the Bills vs Dolphins game is closer then most people think sure for once I can say were not the underdogs but lets not guarantee any victories.

Miami- 3-1
Pats 2-3
Jets 1-4
Bills 1-4

This what I see next week also but in 2 weeks I'm afraid we'll drop one in TB Back to back road games are tough and TB is better the I expected. but hey we'd still be winning the division.

Miami- 3-2
Pats 3-3
Bills 2-4
Jets 1-5
