while i do agree this game is ripe for the plucking (and wouldn't have given us a snowball's chance in hell 5 weeks ago), ... i say our beloved Dolphins must, ... i say MUST ... still play smart, controlled, mistake-free football in order to come away with this road victory...

10+ penalties just are not going to cut it 3 out of 4 weeks...
Gus' 51% accuracy isn't either....
Chambers' 1-2 dropped passes will be inexcusable...

don't much care if we win 13-10 and can't move the ball... let's just see this team play with it's head screwed on tight for 60 minutes...

Every NFL team MUST "still play smart, controlled, mistake-free football in order to come away with this road victory".

All we have to do is score 10 points to win. Buffalo cant score. But maybe with a new QB that can actually throw the ball downfield, they might play different. I think we win 20-10

We can't let Buffalo win the scoreboard early. They will own the intensity level at the outset. Don't let it surprise anyone when they are flying all over the place on special teams and making plays in our backfield, the crowd in a frenzy. Anti-revenge at home will provide that. As long as we fade the energy disadvantage through halftime we should own the skill advantage in the second half.

My big worry is Holcomb. While he wasn't the best QB in Cleveland, he did tend to throw the ball A LOT and rack up a lot of yards. I'm hoping that's not the QB that shows up against us this week.

We must not take Buff lightly we all know that. Stop Magahee, and then hope Losman doesn't re-energize himself on our secondary. Away games require clock control and few mistakes as said above IMO. Lets bend the Jills over!! :)

Good thread. Catiously optimistic is right. For once in a couple of years we are in a trap game where we aren't the trap. Buffalo will be desperate and maybe some pride will be at stake at home vs. division rivals. I still think they can't score on us, but our offense has to not put our defense in impossible situations with turnovers. Dumb penalties won't help either. We've been lucky so far to be 2-1 with all the penalties.

If this game was at home I'd say it would be a guaranteed win. But in Buffalo...we gotta bring the A-game, pressure Holcombe (SP?) early and force him to throw off his stride.

I think Willis will have a tough time against our D-line and be a non factor. We have to score first and play an agressive D that keeps Holcombe on his back more than his feet.

What we have to do is keep momentum-generating plays for the Bills to a minimum. That means big plays on offense for them, and penalties and turnovers for us. The way you win on the road in the NFL is by making the other team generate their own momentum rather than doing it for them.

That's why Jimmy Johnson's penchant for going for it on 4th down on the road was so stupid. If you get the 1st down, the other team can regenerate its momentum if it just makes you punt to end the series at some point. If you don't get the 1st down, you've given them momentum that can possibly last the rest of the game. Go for it on 4th down at HOME, not on the road.

17-6 final score. 10-3 after first quarter after heavy heat by DL makes Holcombe get sacked, fumble and put the Dolphins O in a short field.

I think to win, we REEEALLY need to score more than them. :D

We are the better team. It may sound overconfident but I am right. The Dolphins will take the field with the mindset of complete domination. I am not going to make any official predictions, but if Ronnie Brown is going to rush for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, this may be the game.
