Chris Weinke, who worked with Ryan Tannehill 2 months to prepare him for the NFL and draft spoke about him on what i guess is a Cleveland Radio show. I thought it was good stuff, and he said he thought Tannehill had the most upside of any qb in the draft and would be a franchise qb. Listen for yourself. Listen for yourself, they discuss him for about the first 6 minutes. http://cleveland.cbslocal.com/?podc...rue&config_file=config.xml&dcid=CBS.CLEVELAND

Yep, I agree Ryan Tannehill was a great pick for da Phinz :-)

just imagine if hes better than luck and griffin i like weinke said.....oh my that would be sweet

Just watched Gruden's Camp and now listened to this, makes you want Tanny to start game one, but I know we should be patient and let him learn for half to a full season...

Tannehill understands the whole playbook. Maybe he will start game 9. they play the colts and luck will be starting. Only if we dont have a winninig record of course.

You know what I find amazing, people that worked with Tannehill (Weinke, Sherman) and know him the best, love the kid, can't say enough good things about him, and seem to have amazing faith in him, while other looking from the outside in (Kiper, Michael Lombardi) have no faith, and think Miami mad a mistake.

Good point. The outsiders are just looking at game tape, which there isn't really enough of to make a comprehensive assessment off of. He made mistakes, especially under duress, but for a kid who only played one full season, I would expect that to a degree. I think the Kipers aren't factoring in experience and expected growth into their judgements. Those closest to him seem to expect that he will learn and evolve past these issues. He's clearly highly intelligent, and can make throws/reads almost all college QBs can't make. I think that's a big plus for a guy whos only played the position 1.5 yrs at the college level.

I think its the other way around...if we are winning and Matt Moore is our QB, I dont think it would be smart to switch QBs....if we are losing, then I could see the change being made

so in 1983 if Dan Marino would have been choosen number 8 he would have been label a reach

Echo!!

I think Luck will be a future HOF'er, RGIII is a risky bet in my eyes.
