When I was at fan appreciation day today I saw Welker being interviewed by Jimmy Cefalo on 790 The Ticket. After the inteview when Welker got up he came around the dais and he was wearing a soft cast on his left foot and his left calf was wrapped. Did anyone hear the interview and did he say anything about the injury?

The event was great. I really enjoyed the Gallery of Legends and the autograph session with current and alumni players. I got David Bowens and Matt Roth from the D-line. And Channing Crowder also autographed my hat. He was wearing a UF shirt still celebrating the NCAA win in Basketball.
The only offensive player signing at my session was newly signed receiver Kelly Campbell. He seemed like a nice guy and said he was eager to start getting on the field. He was given #80, I hope he does better and has better luck injury wise than the last couple of players that have worn the number. Alumni players that were there signing were Bob Bruzinski, Bobby Harden, Kevin Poole, and Woody Bennett.

The only bad part was after I was sitting in my seat in section 424 Event Staff ran me off because that section was closed. Oh well at least I got to sit in it for a few minutes to get primed for the season.:D

Sweet man. Wonder whats up with Welker. How amazing did the new HD board look? Did you get any pics?

Man, I forgot it was today and I am kicking myself now.

Sorry no pics, my ball and chain took the little one to the West Coast this weekend and took the digital with her. The new digital screens are awesome the one on the West end is slightly bigger than the one on the East end but the picture on both is outstanding.
Another Finheaven member has posted a video file of the screens in another thread.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like you had a wonderful day.

I am very familiar with ex Dolphins but who is Kevin Poole?

Doesn't ring a bell.

My bad his first name is Ken not Kevin. I had a hard time remembering to so I had to go to the offical web site. It said he was a Defensive Tackle from 1981 - 1982. If that is so he would have been a memeber of team that won the AFC and lost to Washington in the SB. :boohoo:

Man those new big screens are sweeet! Now we get to see replays of the Phins kiking *** on the biggest HD TVS in the world! I can't wait to get to a game this year.

Let's get down to the geekery...

Did Matt Roth look like he bulked up any, if you can tell? :cooldude:

Found your anwer-
Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins WR Wes Welker (ankle) recently had surgery to remove loose bodies in his left ankle. Welker, who is currently on crutches, said he will be ready to participate in May minicamps.

Thanks for the info Dolphan. I came on the scene to late to hear Wes talk about the injury with Jimmy. Also part of that interview was Justin Piel the TE they signed from San Diego. He said he was excited about being here also.

It was hard to tell if he was any bulkier than he was last year becasue I didn't get that close last year to notice. He was wearing a short sleave t-shirt a showing a tattoo on his upper left arm but like I said I couldn't tell, sorry.
