Welker Emerging As Reciever

I think Nublars original post b4 todays game was supposed to be:


Ferotte emerging as the Starting QB....
 
Welker seems to be the most stable person on this team. His hands are very reliable. I give him the benefit of the doubt in that botched return catch because his own guy got pushed up against him. But he is the only guy constantly catching balls, whether as a reciever or returner.
 
I think if Welker will be a great 3rd down slot reciever...I hope both Welker and Boston emerge this year and give us oppurtunity to trade Booker and keep Chambers and Boston and Welker as 3rd wr would be great

Welker reminds me so much of Wayne Chrebet. Small, not really a burner but quick and elusive, great hands, motor that wont quit. I first mentioned this when we picked him up and that great college highlight clip surfaced. He's beginning to prove me correct.

Damn Good Comparison! I just compared them as you mentioned them and I must agree. Could you imagine If in 2 or 3 seasons Wes becomes our #2 WR and gets 1,000 yards? :lol: :eek:
 
I'm so happy Welker is on this team :D

It's great to see the Miami Herald write an article on him as well, he deserves a little recognition.

It's tough without more elite size to be a starter, but I HOPE someday he can. Only two inches shorter than Chambers, but, without that amazing vert. Could be a damn fine slot man.

PS. - Would anyone be willin to make me a Welker sig? Something similiar to the one I made of Ronnie Brown? New laptop, no photoshop. :(
