Welker trade gets even uglier for Fins - ESPN article

Meh, I think if there's no Welker trade, then there's no Bess here. I'd much rather have Bess

Davone Bess is basically Wes Welker except that he makes 3.5 million dollars less.

The Welker trade looks bad because he went to a team with a Hall of Fame QB and a Hall of Fame WR on it.

I hate this articles because they completely ignore the context of the trade.

1.) The Patriots put offered him a poison pill contract so we would have lost him anyways
2.) He never would have been the player he is now without New England's supporting cast.
3.) We now have a younger black version of Wes Welker.

I'm tired of even hearing about Welker i could be as good as him with Tom Brady and Randy Moss...J/K haha

It isn't like Miami was shopping Welker. He was a RFA who didn't want to remain with the Dolphins. They slapped him with the 2nd round tender and New England was set to sign him to a poison pill contract. Instead of doing that, New England made a trade offer that was more then what the tender called for and we had no choice but to take it. Welker didn't want to be here and we got a 2nd and 7th round pick for a guy we signed off the street to be our punt returner a few years back.

It was still a good trade regardless of what Satele and Wright end up doing in the league. I still think Satele has a future with the Dolphins, it just may be at guard instead of center. Nothing wrong with that.

We also can't ignore the fact that Satele played last season with a torn labrum.

You can say it a million times and some people will still not get it. Least of all ESPN.

Aside from the poison pill realities of the offer and the inappropriate price ticket to retain him at that time, as they say "hindsight is 20/20 vision." Ridiculous article from the network endorsed by Bozo.

To be honest, I could care less. Welker wanted to be a Pat, he got what he wanted and here's a little more honesty, I hope he never wins a SB. As for Satele, maybe he can play G we'll see.

Satele will end up being our solid backup C. That's not that bad. He can start should Alex Mack or Jason Brown get injured. He could also start should Thomas get injured. He'll be solid depth.

Not Mueller's fault that Ryan Kalil was gone by the time it was our turn to pick.
