Why was he totally ignored in the second half?

Why did all Daunte do is stare down Chambers the entire second half?

I mean I haven't put on pads in years, and I was watching at a loud noisy bar, but I watched and I could see that the minute the ball was snapped all he did was stare at Chambers...that's like Gus Ferotte crap!!! So many balls just thrown to Chambers and he drops them. Yet at the end when it was almost too late, Daunte, oh crap that's right Wes was the only person doing ANYTHING for us in the first half might as well go back to him, but let me just force it into him and throw another interception to Porter for that final nail!

Welker got this team going when they showed up flat footed and not hitting on all cylinders. He was the only one catching, he returned that punt. It's makes me so freaking mad that he was totally ignored in the second half.

IF anyone associated with the Dolphins reads this...HE WAS YOUR OFFENSE LAST NIGHT AND YOU IGNORED HIM. Good JOB!!!

Yep, couldnt understand the decision to 'lesser' Welkers role in the 2nd half. I though our boy Wes was on for a 100 yard game and maybe his first ever receiving touchdown..............Maybe next week!?

I agree DC was exclusively looking for Chambers in the 2nd half. Well, maybe Pitt made half time adjustments to just slowdown Welker.

All they (the Steelers) had to adjust was to make sure they covered Chambers, and not even cover him that well...he was dropping everything anyway, and for all you Chambers lovers, yeah he was...I watched several balls hit him right in the hands. It's pretty easy to defend when a quarterback plays like High School and stares his primary down the whole time.

Has anyone seen or heard if any media drones asked Saban why they ignored Welker in the second half, and intentionally went to Chambers the whole second half?

I know I'm partial, but it was pretty freaking obvious you have to admit, and if I see that, you know the Steelers saw it.

They tried to get the ball to Chambers in the second half because they used him as a decoy most of the first half. Unfortunately, it was looking like the "Randy Rule" the second half. Mularky and Daunte have 10 days to get things worked out for the next game.

Welker was good, But I think they made some halftime adjustments for him in the 2nd half, But he was still MVP for the Phins

You KNOW that the coaching staff told DC to find his best weapon in the second half. Also notice that when the chips were down at the end, that DC did through to Welker (to Porter actually).

Welker is my favorite Phin.

Wes is our best player by far. Can he play in the secondary???

He does everything else (WR, PR, KR, K)...and he can't possibly be worse than what we have in the secondary.

Pep was looking for him and forced the issue, im sure you guys remember the interception by porter, 42 yards, nothing to big.

I agree I think he could have been more calm and try to find the open guy instead of just the #1 guy.

This is so true. And in preseason, ony a few weeks ago, people were trying to talk about CUTTING WELKER!?!?!?! :sidelol: The people that suggested that are CRAZY!!

Welker is all heart man. He is a guy that won't quit on you when the going gets tough. That game last night was hell on earth. And who showed up? Wes Welker!! He's the man!

Now all we need to do is get some other people to step up and help him out. If he sparks the team with a nice punt return or reception, then someone else needs to get one. Because you can't exhaust Wes.

It would be like forcing Ricky Williams to carry the ball 35 times game and get his *** beat. :fire: :fire:
