last night i was watching pitt versus kentucky and low and behold it was our very own Dave Wannstadt . I was rather amused to se him call plays where the qb whaled that ball 30 yards downfield. is this the same guy that ran, ran, and punt ?

how does this corralates with the fins ? simple

why is it when coaches like J..J and Saban come up with good teams but when they com to miami its like they became the John Blake of nfl coaches and when Saban and cam both left they become genius again. can someone explain why this is .

I will say with wanny his teams were ready to play his downfall was his loyaty to old players and to Feidler.

Dave has a good offens up there in pit so I am thinking that it really wasnt so much Dave as it was Rick Speilman Cam Cameron is a offensive coordinator but he wasnt a head coach or ready to be a h.c.

I really havent bought into the sparano hype yet but I am backing off and will give him another year but he better bring in some good players or we will be in the cellar of the afc east again.
ok i just had to post that what i saw last night made me think man he really has changed from run, run, run, punt to run throw , run, throw ..

im probably going to get scolded for this but, with Sparano as head coach I'd love to have Cam Cameron as offensive coordinator and Nick Saban as Defensive.

Just don't let them pick the players..

I could agree with that. It would make for some great innovation on both sides.

Saban is just meant for college. Wanny is too. I dont think we gve Cam enough time to really settle in to be honest. But if if's and and's were pots and pans thered be no need for the tinker man!

It's not as if they changed at all. I mean, Wannsdadt has always been kind of pathetic. He still isn't very good at Pitt.

Saban was a defensive guru; our defense was great under him. At the same time, we just didn't have the offensive talent. Our past drafts left our team crumbling talent-wise under Saban and Cameron.

Besides, Saban's skill at luring talent in the NCAA isn't at all like NFL talent scouting; they're totally different skills. Cam had a great offensive mind and despite our terrible year, we did see some attempts at innovation from him. He failed because he tried to retool when we needed to rebuild. (Also he probably didn't have an ounce of charisma as a head coach).

Our current staff has a chance because they're NFL guys and have the patience to sit back and build an NFL team.
