its been sooooo long since we have had a discusion on these great players so i will mention them . would berlin be a good qb if he had a good oline and a good runningback ? what was berlin's weakness ? is he better then joey? i am mystifyed by how many qbs that we brought in and none have panned out. the strange thing about our qb situation is that sage had the best arm but is ethics were questioned berlin showed more on the intermediate throws then joey. the reason i started this thread is someone asked me why berlin wasnt liked after showing some good things in the bears game in nicks first season.
truth is i miss ole sage and he will take the texans to the playoffs and that my misguided dolphin fans is gosple according to maverick.

Don't have much to say about Berlin but I do think it was a mistake letting Sage go.

brock berlin will never start in the NFL. we are looking for a starter. u cant win the super bowl with an OK qb. he has to be great. look at super bowl xli. every quarterback except manning who won a sb in miami went to the hall of fame

I agree...Berlin will never start in the NFL. Although I think, with the right team, and tools around him, Sage would do well as a starter, however at this point in his career I dont think he has what it takes to go deep in the playoffs.

Both QBs were not guys who were going to improve the play of the offense. Neither stepped up to have the personality of a leader. Each guy had an opportunity under a few different coaches.

looks like sage gets a shot in for the texans, they are going to trade carr, why did we let him go

He wanted atleast 2Mil a year and you don't pay that kind of money for a 3rd string QB. Which is what he was here.

i dont want to be a jerk man but lets not waste our time on past players that have no chance of playing for miami. i liked both of those guys but obviously, not much can be made of them since they were never taken seriously.

aww, I was just going to write that. I wasnt going to include big ben though, while i can understand why you did... I just wouldnt have.

As for Berlin and Sage... I never really thought much of either of these guys, but theyre clearly not fulltime starting QB material... I doubt the texans would plan on making him the starter if they were to trade carr... They'll definately be looking to improve the position with a free agent, or draft choice... not rosenfels
