Our average margin of victory is 6.5 points. and our Average margin of defeat is 17 points. That' a point differential of -10.5 What this means is that our wins are all close games and we're getting our asses handed to us when we lose. This is NOT a formula to make the playoffs....

The Chicago game could have easily been a loss, same with the Raiders game. But in our losses, we really had no chance of winning.

Just for a little perspective, the top 3 teams in point differential last season

458 PF 296 PA (Pats)
457 PF 295 PA (Eagles)
478 PF 392 PA (Rams)

Where did we rank? 29th Ahead of the colts, giants and cleveland.
281 PF, 393 PA

We'll have a hard time making the playoffs at the rate we're going.

Miami doesn't have a very entertaining roster. There were years under Marino that the team was 7-9, 8-8 or 9-7 but you walked away from games thinking "Miami lost but that was a fun game to watch." The Lions with Barry Sanders were usually average at best but Sanders made them entertaining. The Dolphins have had a low entertainment value for years. You might leave the game happy because of a win or every once in a while because of a player's performance, but in general they have a low entertainment value. Ask yourself if you weren't a fan of one team and just enjoyed watching NFL football in general how many times would you opt to watch the Dolphins game instead of one of the other games available?

Great post Greg

Lol, and the whining continues.

For the love of all go outside and fly a kite, enjoy the beach, hang out with your loved ones, enjoy a pizza for crying out loud.

It's really not that serious.

Playoffs? I’m concerned about winning another game.

I’m not. I will settle for a crappy 2018, clear some mediocre players for cap space (RT as well), trade out of the 1st round for another 1st next year. Bundle 2 firsts in 2020 for a top notch QB.

Only then will we have a chance to build properly

Pizza? Why can't people enjoy some healthy food like vegetables and fruits?

Hasn't it been like this for Gase's entire tenure? On one hand, it's hard to blame him for winning games the team probably shouldn't... but then, why does the team consistently look like this?

As for the playoffs... Well... I don't see a contender when I look at this team... Even at 3-0, I was just hoping we could punk the Cheaters this year and take their spot. It's a shame how that worked out.

Back on the negative end of number of plays run against Detroit. Now at minus 70 for 7 games. 10 more plays a game for the opposition tells you this isn't a playoff team.

Says the guy who's logged almost 10,000 posts.

I don't know about 3 post per day for almost 9 years? That doesn't sound bad to me.

Also, how much of them are bitc#$% and complaining?
