Regarding the trade, the phins have gotten rid of a 5.3 million dollar thrid string quarterback. Really, I'm glad for this trade because we got rid of Feeley, I used to support him but obviously the coaches didn't like him, and have a new 3rd string qb. Whether Lemon develops anything, we won't know until time has passed but you can't get a star without taking risks. Life has handed us a Lemon, so lets make some lemonade.

But in all seriousness, the chargers are now in an odd situation. They have both Brees and Rivers set to make a lot of money, and Rivers is their number 1 pick who's just sitting on the bench. It has already been widely talked about how Rivers or Brees were going to possibly be traded because of the money they both will make, so now that they have a 5.3 dollar 3rd string Qb what are they going to do? If there is talk about you trading your starter or high price backup, how is another high priced backup who will probably never play... help or hurt them? Don't get me wrong this isn't a Trade for Bree's or Rivers thread. Just a what are the implications of this trade for them, and what are they going to do?

As L.T.21 has been harping, you're nuts if you think the Chargers will pay Feeley the full amount left on the contract. They'll be renegotiating that puppy soon to be more reflective of Feeley's role as a career backup.

LOL- Once again. San Diego will not, I repeat, NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AJ's 3.5 mil contract.

seriously, do you think its possible that he would be willing to stay for the vet min? I say that only because Saban was able to get McIntosh to cut his Speilman contract down to the vet min salaries.....

or do you think Pick 6 will have an inflated opinion of himself and tell SD to go fly a kite?
