With more points for than points against. Granted it's only by 2 points, but still....... All of the other teams are struggling a little more than we are I think, and we are also more healthy than they are. So I guess the season's not over yet folks, Miami could easily be 4-3, or 5-2(I truly believe we should have won the Jets game, Miami just layed an Egg there, and if R.B. doesn't fumble we probably win the Buffalo game too) Yea yea, I know those were big "IF'S" and coulda woulda shoulda's, but the reality is we blew a couple of games, have a losing record, and are still in the division hunt. The rest of the AFC east is hurting, Miami is still in very good position to take this thing!!!!!

There is only one stat that counts: Win/Loss record.
We are third in a division of four. We can play "coulda, shoulda, woulda" all day long. Fact is we didn't. We are just not that strong of a team, and in some areas we are horrible. Even if our whole division falls flat on their faces and we squeak into the playoffs, we would get crushed by the powerhouses. But all will change in due time. We are building, and each year we will get a little better. Then it will be time for the NFL's new dynasty.

The Buffalo game is the loss that makes me the maddest, by far. The Dolphins always lose to the Jets, and I think the Buccaneers and Chiefs are just flat-out better teams than the Dolphins. The Bills are not. Had Miami played even average in the Buffalo game they would have won.

First of all...... we are 2nd in a division of 4, and only 1 game behind the first place team. We win this week, and against the Pats we are eitherr tied or alone at the top of the division. Don't you just love the fans that have given up all hope when the season isn't even half over yet?????

not to be the killjoy here, but we are also the only team in the division with 2 division losses and no division wins.

Yah considering the horrid start that game was ours for the taking

And considering I was THERE and had to hear it from obnoxious drunken Bills fans after. :(

Aren't we also the only team in the division without a divional home game??? Besides the divisional record only matters if the season series is split between two teams or there is a 3 way tie, The WILL NOT be a 3 way tie, and if we beat the Pats twice(not saying we definitely will) but if we do, then our record just has to be even to theirs.

This isn't a real meaningful stat - I agree with Fin-atic, all that matters is won/loss records. Look at Green Bay, they've outscored their opponents with a 1-6 record because of a lopsided 52-3 win and six close losses.

We're also 2-1 against the NFC and just 1-3 in our conference and 0-2 in our division. We must beat teams within our conference for wildcard tiebreakers and within the division for separation.

While their is no such thing as a good loss, if my team finished 12-4, I would hope for 12-0 in the conference and 0-4 in the other conference.

We pretty much control our own destiny. I think if Gus plays average than we finish 9-7 and maybe win the division. If Gus plays decent 10-6 and definitely win the division. If Gus keeps playing the way he has 4-12 picking top ten.
