We all know it is Wes Welker not Walker. Did anyone who watched this game on the NFL Network get really annoyed the entire first half listening to these morons calling him WALKER? Do some research if you are announcing games and get names correct! I felt like reaching through the TV and choking those Pitts. announcers!
 
:fire: Yeah, there was a lot of announcers and other media types calling him Walker all through college. Some of the few who realised he was the real deal got it correct, but many of them didn't. I swear some of them would mess his name up on purpose just out of spite. :fire:
 
yeah that was a local news sportscaster doing the play-by-play, He's good doing the news but not the game. He kept saying Vinnie Holliday too.
 
He also believes it is going to be tough for Sammy Morris to make the team because of the stellar play of Lamar Gordon and Travis Minor.

That's what you get with out of town sportscasters in the booth, I guess.

heh reminds me of good ol wanny calling lamar gordon "jordon" or something like that when he first arrived.
 
They're not from Miami so they really don't give a damn
They can pronounce Touisasasopo or whatever but not Welker... :lol:
 
my favorite part was the ticker at the bottem showing a catch for 54 yards by W. Walker of the Miami Dolphins.
 
Broadcasters are idiots... I almost had to turn off the sound last night. I know Griese is a Dolphins legend, but he annoys me sometimes...

But how bout this kid? Great returns, great catch up the middle for a big gain. Welker is going to be a stud!
