Standard Patriot game lines. Says the Dolphins are a tough team, gotta prepare for him, they're not taking anything for granted...

Says the Pats aren't concerned about Brady, Cassell makes all the throws, they don't talk about the SB loss. Honestly, he said nothing that would give the Dolphins anything to hang on the board for the game this weekend.

Funniest quote of the day in regards to Porter's line about throwing the kitchen sink at Cassel:

"To be fair, throwing a sink at Cassel might have better results than sending 11 Dolphins defensive players after him."

HAHA, I am Wes Welker. I have no personality, my coach video tapes my every move, and I like it. Pull my string and listen to the 5 lines I can say, that Coach B programmed into my computer chip.
 
this is by design. its absolutely worthless to interview any patriots player. what a bunch of tool bags. ugh.
 
He clearly didn't want to take part in the interview. Was a waste of the listeners, the radio jocks and Welker's time. The whole thing.

He didn't really say anything.

The host asked if he hated Tyree. He said no.
Then he was asked how it felt being 17-0(?) and then losing the Super Bowl. Welker said that they're just getting ready for Miami this weekend...
Then the host said something like 'what, you're not allowed to talk about the past?'
Next he asked what was going through his mind when Brady went down. Welker just said that Matt (Cassel) is doing good making the throws. They'll be alright.
Then he asked if him and Moss sit there watching film on Miami and just laugh. Welker said no, they're just watching film trying to find the best way to beat us.
Then he asked if he thought Miami was the worst team in the NFL. Welker said no, they're a good team. We're just trying to get ready for the game...
Then he got half way through asking about the Chargers-Broncos game and Welker said 'I gotta go' and just hung up.

The other host kind of apologized and said the bad interview wasn't the hosts fault. They just laughed about Welker avoiding answers. Wondering why they would even agree to do an interview when they know the 2 biggest questions will be their feelings on the SB loss and loss of Brady.

They made fun a NE a little, saying it's not the NE Patriots it's the NE cult. Said Belichick must brainwash all the players.

thats hilarious:lol: :sidelol: I dont see us getting to Cassel at all. I hope we do. Cassel has had all the time in the world to throw. Hopefully we play them close like we have in the past.
 
Most seasons, in this situation I would say something to the effect of "I hope Welker takes a rout across the middle and (insert hard hitting safety or real-deal linebacker) knocks him back to Texas Tech. I am having a hard time picking a propper assasain this season.
 
this is why i want us to beat the patriots but you guys do know if we pull off a upset no one will give us any credit , thus the phrase the pats played bad , not the fins played well
 
I don't get it. He toes the company line and people want to kick his a** for sounding scripted. Would you have more respect for him if he came out with a Joey porter-like response? I know I still have him in my sig but based on the transcript, there is nothing here that makes me want to kick his a** any more than I want the phins to kick their *** bc they are our opponent this week.
 
what a tool.......he sounds like a prick, dont give the interview if you dont want to give answers
