Im not saying this is what we should do, BUT...

Anyone think about letting go Norv Turner, and bringing in an offense coordinator that knows the West Coast offense, and implementing it here, like Andy Reid did in Philly? That way we can make a run at Garcia, and if we get him he could be sucessful here.

Any thoughts?

boooo, too much talent to do an overhaul of our scheme now, maybe if we were in a rebuilding process

In way we are..we have no threat at QB, our O-Line sucks, and we only have 1 legitimate threat at WR in Chambers, so we need to do some overhaul for our offense. By the way, pocket QBs are a thing in a the past in the NFL(besides Manning).

I only see about two non-pocket passers in a LOOOOOOOONG time that have won the superbowl.
And even those two (young/elway) were pretty damn good pocket passers and more known for that than their scrambling ability.

so much for that statement "pocket QBs are a thing in a the past in the NFL"
Warner
Brady
Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Aikman
Favre
Elway
Young
Montana
Hostetler

those are your superbowl winners since 1989, not the most mobile guys in the group.

Delhomme the pocket passer, just beat Carter the scrambler.

It may be sometime, but trust me, the future is scrambling QBs like Fiedler, but they have to have an arm and accuracy to be sucessful, unlike Jay. ;)

Carter is a pocket passer, but he can also run

Ok but that does not mean he is a scrambler. Passing better and being able to avoid the rush does not mean you are a scrambler.

Well the most successful QBs are the ones who can run and pass very well, and will be the most sucessful for years to come as the NFL evolves. McNabb and McNair to name a few.

no the most successful qbs are the ones to win a superbowl, something neither of htose, nor many other scrambling qbs have done.
