This was never a QB compeitition.

It was always Gus's job. He is Linehan's buddy.

If you look at all preseason games combined, there was nothing to indicate Gus wins. In fact Gus never even scored a TD. and missed terribly on open WRs.

No doubt neither are starting caliber, but I would rather see Sage get a shot. At least he showed fire and the ability to make plays. Gus was as benign and inaffective as well...Jay Fiedler.

Gus Fiedler.

(acknowledgement to Welderpat who made this intital analogy)

Open comment to Nick Saban:

Nick you better pull a rabbut out of your a$$ on the QB. You picked up no answer here, and you drafted no future (and there was some good young talent there). YOU have handicapped this team going into the season by failing to address the most important position, one everyone knew was a problem. Strike one.

I don't believe anyone would be surprised that this post is coming from such as you, Fin-atic. I don't think we've been duped by your conciliatory manner these past weeks.

We've been had... indeed.

Mod Note: Tee, this forum isn't provided as a place for members to be offering their personal opinions about other members, period. It's a forum for discussion of Dolphin football. If you have a problem with another member, notify a mod... bring it up in Complaints... or keep your own counsel.

hahaha I've seen AJ with both the 1st and 2nd string. I've see Gus with the 1st and 2nd string. They both suck, just Gus at this point in time, sucks less.

If you're so pissed because a man who's been in football most of his adult life doesn't pick the same person that you want him to...well, I suggest zoloft or paxil.

I partially agree. It seems Gus was Linehan's favorite all along. I do believe AJ had a small opening, but he failed to take advantage of it.

Sage should get his shot during the season. It is difficult for one QB to last all 16 games. Look at the previous three years with Fielder.

This was uncalled for. I am reporting it as a personal attack and a violation of the TOS.

I am just not a homer. Sorry guys. I like many things that have happened. I do not think starting Gus and demoting the guy who outplayed the him in three of the five games is right.

You have been reported.

No he's completely right aj had no chance adn I believe either AJ asked to eb cut when demoted or they are cutting him so there is no backlash to replace gus when he starts sucking cause his closest "real" "sage isn't a good qb" competetion has been shipped out! yet aj makes the minnimum this year!

The same way Spielman was "had," by the Eagles when he traded for Feeley? While i'm not confident in any QB on the roster, if one was drafted, than people would be saying the same thing, that Aj didn't get a chance. The thing where I don't agree with drafting a Qb, on even the 2nd day is that they're not gonna get a "legitimate" shot, if they go in and play, they're most likely not ready, and the team would be struggling, and I doubt the team would let the opportunity of another Qb, who has more potential to the team pass in the following draft. My best scenario of this would've been McMahon/Harrington in Detroit. It seems like some people are sour, over the fact that there Qb wasn't picked, but really do you think Saban would allow a coach below him to hurt his job status, because that is what you're suggesting if Linehan never took Feeley into consideration. Leinart is on vs Hawaii tonite, a man can only hope he's playing for the Phins next season.

I fully agree. Anybody who can't see AJ's talent is blind. Looks like Saban is no better than Wanny, just starting conspiracy's to keep Feeley on the bench.
