Okay,

I've come to terms with Day One. I'm even starting to brighten my somewhat less-than-sunny disposition as far as our picks go. While they may not have been the home-runs I was looking for, I can live with them.

That being said, can someone PLEASE explain what the **** Cam meant when he said we didn't just Draft Teddy Ginn Jr, but we drafted the GINN FAMILY?! What does that even mean!? Does Teddy have 2 or 3 brothers/cousins I don't know about that come with the package deal?!... are they O-linemen!!?!?! ... can we pay them all one salary!?!!

Teddy has two brothers, Bobby and Jack. They're part of the package. And don't forget about Ted Ginn, Sr., who's still got a year or two left in him. We drafted the entire family, baby! Four-for-the-price-of-one.

What he meant was, he had a deal with the Ginn family that if he drafted Ginn at #9 and gave him a $25 million contract, the Ginn family would pay Cam $3 million under the table (plus future considerations) - thus they are like family now..

Kinda like how the sopranos family works.. You know, they are like family to other families but they really aren't technically related . Well, you know.

After that press conference, im not so sure that i trust Cam Cameron anymore. We had Brady Quinn available at pick #9, and he PASSED on him.......you have got to be kidding me.
We need a young franchise QB that we can groom, not continue to sign thise 40 year old injured washed up QB's that havent helped our team one single bit.

Im so disgusted.

cam doesn't mean anything by that its his way of shouldering the load of crap mueller is going to leave him with! what he was actually saying was randy mueller is doin teddys mom, his sister, and probably teddy's daddy as well! thus the whole family comment!:bighug: :shakeno:

um beck is only 26?????

He did sound like an idiot with that remark but rumor has it his
mother throws a mean cross block so no need to draft a left tackle.

All the teams passed on Quinn. Must be something there. He would of fell to the 2nd round if the Brown hadn't moved up to get him. Ginn will put points on the board. The first time he returns a punt for a TD everyone will be a Ginn fan and forget the Brady was there talk.

I think Cleo Lemon was in the podium when he made the speach, like the movie Police Academy...........

I admit, I have never been a quinn guy... there was always something about him that made me say "blergh". However would've much rather drafted the Okoye family, or maybe the Willis family if we weren't going Quinn. And concerning Beck, I dunno, I think I am coming around. Initially my inner Madden-ite got the best of me, and I thought to myself... 26?! NOOOOOOO, but then I looked up some film, and I am liking him more and more. the fact is quarterbacks can play well into their 30's, and do it at a high level. Is Beck the answer? eh... but I do believe hes a good pick, and definitely has potential to be something. Sure, we all want our young hoss QB, but we do have something here. Concerning Ginn, I was thinking to myself... to justify a #9 overall pick, he needs to have something in the ballpark of 600 receiving yards to go with a good 2 touchdown returns... not happening...

HA HA HA HA!!!

It's one of two things.
A) Nobody here speaks the same language that our head coach and he was somehow meaning that he trusted Ted Ginn Jr because he knew him and the Ginn family values.
OR
B) Cameron enroll them as dad will return to football, mom is the answer for LT and both brothers will serve as NT and CB.

Are Cousins involved? or is do we just get his immeiate family. One of his cousins is a mean Punter. What a steal!!! adding multiple players with one pick! These guys really know what they are doing?

Also is did we get the whole Beck family too. I hear his sister runs 4.3 40.

Looks like Ginn Sr. talked his son up to a top 10 pick. He must be one hell of a salesman because his kid is sooooooooo overrated. Cam bought into it bigtime.

So once again we will have to count on our defense for the entire season. Because as long as they can force a lot of PUNTS we can get the ball in Ted Cameron's...er...Ted Ginn's hands enough times to score once or twice. Because he sure as hell isn't going to make a difference coming off the line of scrimmage as a WR.
