Today is a great day!!
We find out our beloved fins will open the season on opening night vs Pitt AND we find out our fish will be taking on detroit on thanksgiving...

only way to make it better........

GET ARRINGTON!!!!!!!

(i can dream lol)

Excellent day...I think playing Pittsburgh early is fantastic as the Steelers could get all caught up in getting their rings and not be fired up to play....I smell a Phin's win.....then turkey day we can feast on the Lions. Wahooooo.

LA would just make this day gggrrrreeeeeeeeeeeaaattttttttttt!!!!!!
Even more then it already is.. Great day for the Dolfans

Nice to know we are finally getting respect back. I look for at least another prime time game against the Pats. Nick has got the fins rolling again.

Could be too that LA now knows he has two big prime time games to show off his skills . Most of the country will be tuned in!

It is cool we get those games but I hope we get at least one home Monday or Sunday nighter.

I'd give up both the road games for a prime time home.

I don't like the fact that we're playing an opening season game on Thursday. Not that 4 days earlier than the rest of the teams will make a difference in Culpepper's recovery time but it might. I think the league thinks the Fins will sign Maddox and that will be the matchup they play on. Although I hope we pass on Maddox, I have more confidence in Cleo Lemmon than Tommy boy.

One good thing is it's a road game in a normally cold climate area but it won't be cold when we play the game.

You know, I think IT IS GREAT that we're opening it up at Steelers (against the SB CHAMPS) but for a different reason...We're ALWAYS fired up on opening day and USUALLY get a win. They'll be eager to play, our 1st game of the season, it doesn't matter that we're on the road. I dont think the rings thing will take the steelers out of it. I think they're gonna be more fired up cause of it. But I think Miami's opening day thunder will prevail..We've gotten better this offseason and pitt has lost some guys.

there is no better way to start a SB run than to knock the champions off first!

It appears obvious that we'll be in prime time several times this season. They haven't even gotten past opening day and Thanksgiving and we have two!

I'm guessing five total, now!!!

Opening up on a Thursday gives us an 3 extra days rest and time to prepare for our week 2 oppponent. Hopefully we will get a BYE week late in the year.

I really hope we get a home nighter, early in the season if possible...
My seats have no stadium cover at all, thats the down side of getting lowers..The heat gets brutal!!!!

All we need is Sam Adams and LaVar Arrington and this has to be the most successful FA period in our history.

DO IT

The heat is a big factor that works in our favor. I hope we don't play any home primetime games until late in the season, when it starts to get cooler anyway.
