I am amazed at just how fickle some of you are. The way that some of you post about Jason Taylor is appalling. This guy has shown up every game for the last 10+ years, he's played through injury and adversity, and he has finally given us a legitimate superstar on defense. Even in defeat, he has shown class during interviews and has always provided us with an image of what a true professional is.

Now that the press has started this war of words, so many of you have turned on him. You call him a cry-baby or a primadonna. You immediately favor Parcells and Sparano (who have been here for, what, 2 minutes??) and choose them over this guy who has been here week in and week out for us. How would you act if Rick Spielman or Randy Mueller had engaged in this supposed war? You would be on Jason's side, no questions asked. He would have your loyalty and support. But now, since the all mighty, fat piece of human garbage that is Bill Parcells has brought us a glimmer of hope, so many of you have sold your souls and turned your back on a true professional. Parcells who cannot be questioned and is above reproach. Parcells who chastizes reporters routinely and shows nothing but disdain to everyone who is outside of his little circle. On a personal level, Parcells seems like a reprehensible, arrogant *** while Jason has been nothing but a bright spot for our lowly team.

I will laugh my tail off the next time I hear a Dolphins fan criticize a New York fan for the way he acts.

"Hello pot, this is the kettle. You're black."

When Chad Henne was mentioned as being considered by the Dolphins, some of you were up in arms.....now that we have him, how many are gonna jump on that ship? Or if/when Beck produces on the field, how many of you phony critics will be all over his jock whereas now, you view him as a loser.

Just because you can look things up on an internet message board, it doesn't mean that you are a personnel expert. Just because you hear one half of someone's story, doesn't mean you know the whole truth. Some of you just need to shut the hell up and go support another team-----you're making the true Dolphin fans sound like crap on here.

I completely agree. They act like JT haven't been handling this situation with class. Yet a large number of them want Chad Johnson on the roster (which I wouldn't mind either) who is acting a fool in Cincy.

JT is not bigger than the Miami Dolphins, however, for his sacrifice and hard work and loyalty he deserves a whole lot better from the fans. The man re-worked his contracts what, 50 times for Miami?

People have no shame. They would bend over to get someone like Chad Johnson just because of what he might bring us....rather than supporting a guy who has done nothing but give to us. While Chad might be a great receiver, he is all about me me me. I doubt he would ever play through a season with plantar fasciitis the way that Jason did.

I personally like the "Dancing around like a fairy" comments.

"Fairy".....Whatever. He's dancing with a smoking hot chick and
having a good time. The player hate has gotta stop.

Amen.JT deserves more respect.I go to another forum,a so called Dolphins "fan" forum, and they are screaming for a trade.I posted my thoughts....I basically said that I was surprised any of them had the time to post after the draft since they should have been too busy wiping angry tears away since there was no JT trade.I was run out of there on a rail, but I will go back to stir the pot, simply because I think they are a bunch of ungrateful louts who don't seem to realize that with Zach gone,JT is the lynchpin in the Dolphins defense.I could care less that he is on DWTS.......if it sells more tickets and makes people want to go see my favorite team play, then good for JT and very good for the Dolphins.Being on the show doesn't make him a mincing fairy either.
I am curious why people are turning on him.....he never publicly said he wants a trade and Bill Parcells said the only way JT won't be a Dolphin next year is if he retires.I think we can trust BP in this situation and I for one am in his corner.I really don't think BP would pull a fast one and trade JT...and anyway, why would he want to?JT is the best DE in the league. He is a 6 time pro bowler. He has lead the league in sacks. He is a team captain and a proven leader on the field.I loved the guy 12 years ago and I still do.
While I did not agree with the release of Zach,I understand it and why it happened......it hurt(because Zach was...and still is...my favorite player)I think ZT will do well in Dallas and he will tear it up down there just like he did here.I don't begrudge BP for releasing him,he had his reasons and I believe his plans are right on track with what we need to here.
There have been mistakes made(Cam Cameron,Dave Wannstedt,Nick Saban)but I never turned on my boys.I never will.I don't care if the Dolphins don't make the playoffs,I will always be a fan.I am loyal to the end and the only thing I can say about BP and company is that this is a new era...and I for one am looking forward to being able to say that for the first time in 8 years the playoffs are a reality.

It's just a small, weird minority isn't it? How can you love the Dolphins and attack JT? The guy has been great on and off the field. You can criticize him for small things or disagree with his dance fever, but to openly attack him is just wrong. I can only imagine that those who are doing it are company whores and like to bow down to whoever is in power. They probably acted the same with Saban and Cam. Those are small people. Insecure people. JT might not quite be on the absolute untouchable level of Marino, Shula, and even Zach, but he is damn close. The guy has always done the Dolphins proud (minus the terrible reality dance show).

This is about football! I am a Miami Dolphin fan and always have and always will be. If Jason Taylor is a Dolphin I will root for him. If he goes somewhere else or to a different career, I won't root against him. I just won't be as supportive. As for his respect.....I think he is getting that in a very substantial check on a weekly basis during the season. If he is a Dolphin, great! If they trade him, great. Either way ....... GO DOLPHINS!!!!!

AMEN to this thread.

Jason Taylor is everything you want a Miami Dolphin to be. Ask Tom Brady what kind of player and competitor JT is. He is the best defensive player in Dolphins history, the second best player in Dolphins history and a future HOFer.

I don't think people here hate JT. I don't know how you could.
I just think people are starting to look at the big picture right now.
I'm happy as hell if he stays on this team for the rest of his career.
I'd rather have him for two more years vs. a 4th round pick.

Now, if someone gave us a 2nd and 4th I might consider doing that.
I don't think I'm turning my back on JT by doing that, and I'm sure he
wouldn't feel betrayed by being traded. I just think most fans on here
are putting the Dolphins first before any one player.

I agree with you on the stupid name calling and all that other BS.
The guy has given his heart and soul to this team. Show some respect.

I'm pretty sure he has earned that.....

I don't think anybody here hates JT....We're rebuilding the team and most people here know that he's only gonna play another year or 2 so why not get some picks for him and use those picks to get more young talent?....stop spinning things around guys....nobody here hates JT...is all about the team....in other words,is not personal,is only business!

Ozzy rules!!

Well said. I think some people are forgetting how JT is and how bad the team as a whole was. If JT stays, he can help teach the rookie DE on how to be better pass rushers. Henne provides good competition for Beck, so when the season starts, we have a good chance of seeing the best player at the QB position try to jumpstart the future of this franchise. Some people just might be smoking with Ricky and are seeing things that are not there.

I love JT (he is in my top 5 favorite Phins, along with recently departed ZT) and agree with you guys for the most part, but hasn't the damage already been done? If you are a true Dolphin fan, wouldn't you want the best for JT? Maybe he really wants to go to a contender, but he isn't acting like CPep or Ocho Stinko to force the FO's hand. If that is the case, we should settle for less (2009 2nd rounder) just to show him the respect he deserves.

BTW, I really hate the fact that JT is on that show. He looks kinda creepy and wierd when he dances IMO. What's the point? Why isn't he waiting until retirement to do something like this? I just don't get it.

The problem isn't the people who want to ship out JT for a 2nd rounder. It's those people who say "Good Riddance JT" and "He never showed up in big games anyway." That's absurd.

Don't misunderstand the purpose of this thread. Not one person who has ever come to this board could honestly question JT as a player. No, I'm specifically referring to the people on this board who have made it personal against him. I am one of the least PC people I know, so I am not the morality police here; I just hate hypocrites. Dancing with the Fairy is not a funny comment. Calling him a cry-baby when he has not publicly said anything is childish. I am sick of the people on here who always want the next best thing....even when that next best thing is a piece of crap egotistical jerk like Chad Johnson. Anyone who has suggested trading JT, a model citizen and exceptional player, for that piece of crap is:
a) not a true football fan
b) not a true Dolphin fan
c) everything that is wrong with fans today
d) completely clueless
e) all of the above.

To those who have suggested that trade, you qualify for answer "e". For those who have spewed their venom under at JT the guise of humor, you are a moron and definitely qualify for answer "e". There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting the best for your team. If that means trading JT for picks, so be it. But to turn it personal against him and his choices without knowing him or knowing the whole story, only makes you look and sound like a clueless, classless piece of crap.

I will now climb off of my soapbox, so we can all go back to speaking authoritatively about people we have never heard of before.
