Supposedly blackballed for years because he came across as a superior intelligence-flaunting, condescending ayehole. Looks like he's paid his penance by this point and as an analyst comes across as knowledgeable, insightful and objective.
The guy was the OC for the then record-breaking offense of the MN Vikings before going to the Ravens and winning the SB. His HC record over 9 years is 80-64, winning 2 division championships, 1 conference championship and of course 1 SB championship.. he's 8-5 in postseason play and before he got fired for going 5-11, the year before that one, in 2006, his team went 13-3. I'm sure his battery is more than recharged.
The question is whether he'd want to give up his network jobs for an interim position, even with the assurance was that he'd have the inside track for the permanent HC job in '16. IMO he might, because he's allegedly been trying to get back into the NFL for years.
We could do a lot worse, including anyone on current staff as the interim coach than ending up with a career winner sporting a SB ring, IMO
