If we were drafting a QB, and if we were able to draft him in a favorable spot (like say, 3rd round or below), would it be a good idea to do so? Just wondering....
 
I don't think so. I don't think Leak will be a good pro at all. There are better options than him out there.
 
Highly doubtful, especially in the 3rd. He's not NFL starting caliber material.
 
if stanton is still there in 3rd or 4th round and we were takin a QB, i'd take him in a heartbeat over leak

NO no and more no cant hit targets when settled in the pocket only throws good on the run and just to up and down!
 
Chris Leak was a good college QB but he won't do well in the Pros.

Okay, I already stated my opinion on not drafting him but that statement is completely untrue. Leak is the definition of pocket passer, yeah he throws well on the run too but he is very accurate from the pocket.
 
Florida Gators are just a good team in spite of Chris Leak. Miami should not draft him at all. He's a turnover machine.
 
honestly leak does seem to have a knack for winning games so he doesnt completely suck but he seems to be a jay fiedler qb a game manager leak aint gonna be the playmaker that wins you the game but hes not gonna make mistakes that cost you the game
 
As a Gator fan and someone who has seen enough of Leak to form an honest opinion, I don't think he would be as bad as most of you may think. Yes, I think Chris Leak can do well at the pro level. I'm not saying he's starting material nor would I rule against it. Take Vince Young for example, I heard and read dozens of Young is "not pro material" comments after that championship game and look how things turned out for him. I know Leak doesn't have Vince Young height or arm strength but he's smart enough, has a lot of heart and he's got that mental toughness to be a good leader in the pro's.

I love how so many people have strong opinions about a guy they obviously know nothing about. Looks like another guru thinks he plays like Marcus Vick.
