What are our biggest needs going into this offseason?

1. DT: We are losing Traylor, Zgonina, Holiday (most likely). We absolutely need a big DT.

2. CB: Someone like Asante Samuel or Nate Clements would help a ton there.

3. LB: We need another OLB. Lance Briggs or Adalius Thomas in FA. Also someone like Earl Everett from Florida in the 2nd round.

4. LT: We need Ryan Harris from Notre Dame to come to us in the 3rd round so we can groom him to take over for D-Mac soon.

5. K: Mason Crosby would be great if he fell to us in the 4th. If not we need someone other then Olindo Mare.
 
Why is it that Offensive linemen and especially Left Tackles always seem to get shuffled toward the back of the priority list all the time? Its obvious that good offensive linemen don't grow on trees and we sure haven't dug a good one up for a long time. Its obvious that we need several pieces to put together a good and potent offense especially a good QB that we may or may not have. However of all those pieces, an offensive line that can control the line of scrimage and protect the QB is essential. The OL has been taken for granted for too long and having a premier OL coach in Hudson Hauck helps but is not the answer as he must be given young players with potential to develop. The days of bringing in other teams rejects, hasbeens and never was'es has proven to be less than adequate and just one gamble after another.

2. A shut-down corner
3. A speedy outside linebacker, with pass-rushing ability
4. A speed reciever
5. A reliable kicker
