Let me preface this by saying I am not condoning this nor saying we will/should take him with the #25 pick. I am just simply asking what are the chances we take him with our 1st round pick.

We've visited with him a few times on different occasions to my knowledge so we seem to be very interested. He has been VERY impressive thus far in the post-season (Senior Bowl/Combine) and I'm starting to wonder about the possibilities.

I will admit that I was a little bit of a hater on Pat White throughout his career at WVU and always thought he was extremely overrated. But over the course of his Senior Year, the Senior Bowl, and the Combine, I have garnered a new-found respect for him. He could come in as our 3rd QB behind Henne and Pennington and also double as a PR/KR/Slot/Wildcat QB, basically fill the role as the new Slash in the NFL. Then after Penny leaves, he would leave us with a very servicable backup. But I can't help but think about all the possibilities of our Wildcat offense with White added to the mix. It could be very exciting because he could add a completely new dimension to the offense that has rarely, if ever, seen before.

Most view him as a fringe 2nd-3rd round prospect right now. Now we have all heard about the Dolphins interests in taking a WR early and we all assume it will be a guy like Nicks, Britt, or DHB, but what if that "WR" is really Mr. Versatility, Pat White?

Just my 2 pennies. What are everyone else's thoughts!?

Taking him with #25? Not a chance.

Pat White will probably be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round - and if he's around when we pick in those rounds, I'd say there's a decent chance we take him. He could certainly be a tremendous offensive weapon for us, but I think there are other needs the FO is going to worry about first.

I would say no on the first round....but we do have two second rounders and would venture a guess it would be there. I dont think the trifecta will waste the first round pick on a player who might be good in the wildcat offense. that would be to much of a cam cameron move. imo.

Let me also add in that most people though Flacco was a high 2nd round pick last year and the Ravens actually traded up in the 1st to get him. And supposedly Parcells knows the guy he wants and is looking to do whatever he has to get him, including trading up. I know these two are completely unrelated but...

Any chance that Mr. White is who he is talking about? I don't think so, but I guess we'll find out!

Why the hell would he draft him @ 25 when he can get him in the 3r or 4th, maybe even 5th.

THough, I don't believe Pat White will be taking anywhere in the 1st round, I 'do' believe he can be a 2nd round pick. And that pick can very well be #56 to MIA. I don't see him getting by the top of the 3rd round, so if MIA wants him it may have to be with that #56 pick.

No way Pat White lasts til the 5th, or even the 4th. I could see him still there in the 3rd round...but most likely he will be gone in the 2nd round. But no way in heaven, earth, or hell will he last til the 5th round...:err:
