If i was a Gm i would tell the Peterson from the Chefs that he needs to put the crack pipe down.There is no way in the world that we give up the same compasation as what we recieved 4 welks from Patty land.
Welks is 25,Green is 37 you do the math.If Green gets hit really hard it could be curtains for him.
I say go talk to Millin in Detroit,He is stupid enough to do it.

Mueller has said over and over he won't draft for need, unless the BPA happens to be a need. Akoye would better suit the 4-3, Tampa 2 so he probably is not on top of Mueller's list at that point in the draft.

I agree with Mueller on this though...the reason we are so awful now is because we have always drafted need instead of BPA. In the later rounds, yes you can fill needs then. Not at the top of the draft...

Question, I didnt know that we had drafted in the previos years based on need. I know Chambers was BPA. It was quoted that Wanny wasnt expecting Chamber to fall down but he did and they scooped him up.

I just think that is a unrealistic pick for MIAMI.

I know Landry might not be there,or Quinn.

But all im saying as of right now that is a bad idea being we have depth at DL.If Quinn,Landry are gone i would rather trade down and grab 3 more picks.
I like Okoye,But i dont think he fits are 3-4 scheme.
I think there would be a better fit in someone else.

I don't think we'll take Okoye. DL is far from our need, unless you wanna make a case for DE. Mueller said he wants to help the Dolphins by taking the BPA. However, Okoye won't help the Dolphins for a couple of years. He'll just sit behind our young talent we have now.

My thoughts EXACTLY...Peterson is smokin crack. If I were Mueller I would tell him to keep him. Everyone knows there is no way KC keeps him at the 7 million salary he is due. Take a 7th rounder or no deal. If KC thought he still had something left in the tank, they wouldn't be lookin to get rid of him. I'd tell him we'll just wait until you cut him. If it's after june 1st so be it. Green has already stated his desire to play for the Phins so I don't think we'd lose him to someone else......and if we did no biggie.

i agree with point 2 there isnt a way in hell that we take Okoye unless we drop some guys in the process-there is no doing that- and actually Mcshay is right about his logic but like i said i dont think because its been said that Miami is not High on Brown-but Kiper is just speaking to hear himself talk and have been for the last couple of seasons.

Although that was a pretty tough read (work on your grammar and spelling kid) I can but agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

If Quinn falls to 9, we're taking him. Otherwise, it's between Laron Landry and Levi Brown. Prefer Brown because we need a LT like none other and this guy looks legit - huge, started 4 years at a big time program, and had real success.

I don't think we should trade up for Quinn - it'll cost way too much and this team has too many holes to be throwing away draft picks. It's a lack of picks that got us into this mess in the first place (thanks Nick and Dave).

The thing I'm worried about - what if all three of those guys are gone by the 9th pick? Then should try to bail out of our pick for whatever anyone is willing to give us and pick up the best available player? Maybe start going after guy's like Olsen or Bowe in the middle of the round? Stick at 9 and take Leon Hall?

I don't think we'll take Okoye. DL is far from our need, unless you wanna make a case for DE. Mueller said he wants to help the Dolphins by taking the BPA. However, Okoye won't help the Dolphins for a couple of years. He'll just sit behind our young talent we have now.

Won't help us??? Which late round pick that hasn't played are we pinning our hopes on? Now I hope, along with everyone else, that Evans, Wright, Wright and Vickerson provide us with depth and quality play, but they have done nothing to date to know that it's a lock. Evans hardly played, Wright has personal issues and didn't play, Wright from TX is coming off surgery, and Vickerson never saw the field. Traylor going to be 38 and Vonnie Holiday will be 34. If one of them goes down, we will be in a world of hurt if they don't step up which is not a guarantee. Not to mention Traylor clearly wore down later in the season. IMO Okoye has a high probability of being a great player. If Quinn and Landry are gone, which is likely, then I think he is a better pick than Brown or Branch because of his long term potential. Kid is 19 and weights 305 and runs a 4.8. Putting on 15 pounds and playing nose does not strike me as a reach and he can play with us for the next 15 years. Frankly, I think the Redskins will take Okoye if they stay at six so a may be a moot issue.

I would also throw Willis into this same category. Again, it's not a need, but the guy is a beast and will be a great player for years long after Zach retires.

As far as Green goes, it's a 7th rounder or move on. We won't win a Superbowl or even make the playoffs with him anyway. If we get him, maybe we are respectable and he can mentor a new draft pick.
