Name the camp battle you are watching.

For me it's nickel corner. McCain vs Verner. Mctry is trying to slip into this battle keep an eye on him. But from what I have heard Verner is a good vet pickup and its his job to lose from my pov

Very few slots are open. I hope Asiata can win a guard slot but that isnt looking good.

Id like to see McCain benced but have no clue if verner is much better.

The fight for the backup dt job is important as our depth there looks scary right now

To me besides slot corner, it is a competition for starting guard, backup center (who probably starts often), 5th WR is wide open now that Ford had surgery (he was my favorite for it) and Grant can't hold a ball to save his life. And Punt returner

I want to see if either of our first two picks will start and I'm hoping Eric Smith UDFA tackle out of Virginia can be a backup. Keeping an eye on Vincent Taylor and the Dline backups, as well.

Verner and Aikens are intriguing battles at slot and corner.

Alterraun Verner vs Bobby McCain is a pretty good contest. For the past 2 years, Verner was paid $6M per season by Tampa Bay because he was a CB in high demand based on his performance in his rookie contract for Tennessee. In comparison, Miami has got him for just $900K with nothing guaranteed - so we have got him on a bargain basement discount. We have a stack of decent CBs with Maxwell, Xavien Howard, Tony Lippert not to mention Cordrea Tankersley, but Verner has a genuine shot against McCain in the slot.
The other side to it is that Bobby competes hard against Jarvis Landry every day and this has helped to improve him. Many on FH will dismiss McCain based on some of his struggles in past years but I genuinely think that you may be underestimating Bobby's improvement - it is real. McCain is also considered the elite trash talker on the team and the coaches apparently love his feisty competitive attitude.
I'd like to keep both of them. My prediction is that Bobby holds his spot.

It's not a battle but I straight up want to see x. And dvp I don't care about catches I just want to see the top shelf tools and a more polished version. Charles Harris is another I want to see rush in a 3 point stance. Raekwon at mike although his role isn't gonna break any preconcieved notions as a base lb for me. And last I want to see tunsil see if that top 10 left tackle will be there out the gate.

I will probably fall out my chair if dvp looks like aj green and x looks the part of a high level #1 cb.

How about offense vs defense camp battles?

It sounds like Xavien Howard is the only guy out there who can hang with Devante Parker, and they're having some good competition out there.

Backup DT and just LBs in general are nice to follow because that's where we really need people to step up and stop the run, which was one of our main downfalls of last year. Stopping the run and underneath routes must be a priority this year, we have the boundary and safety options this year to be solid so the interior must be priority.

Slot and DT for me , I think Daytona makes a good observation on another one - punter.. Darr better be consistent through camp and presason, he had some bad spots last year.

Also we need to have someone step up and take Grants spot for returner.
