What can we get for Porter?

Other thread reported that Porter would not play on Thur and anytime soon. There is strong indication that its due to insubordination.

Just a hunch...don't believe Porter would play his heart out for this regime anymore if the benching indeed happen.

With Anderson and Wake coming on strong, Porter become expandable. He still got name recognition around the league and may be still got one or two good years left. The front office should start seriously thinking about trading while he still got trading value.

Now...what can we get for him?
Can we get a legit wr and some picks..
Or we get a legit wr and give up a mid round pick or two?
Or may be we only get a couple second rounders?
Which team out there is desperate enough to take his contract??
What are our options?
 
Your not going to get much for an older OLB that likes to run his mouth & only had one good year out of the past 3 seasons. Add in his over priced contract and you have got a guy that no one is going to trade for. I expect that he will be cut lose after the season is over.
 
i'm thinking that we might can get...and this is a BIG maybe...a 5th rd pick for him...but who knows...these days he runs his mouth better than he plays...
 
He has a roster bonus next year at some point in the offseason and I imagine that we would have to eat that to get a late round pick. I don't see our team doing that, if they want to get rid of him they'll just straight up cut him. An older, ineffective and expensive player usually doesn't fetch a whole lot!
 
Before this season, we might have got a bad team to give up a 2nd. More than likely, we wouldn't have been able to get more than a 3rd. Now? Maybe a 6th?
 
JP has played his way put of a trade... We would be lucky to get anything at this point. End of last year was the window... He will be released.
 
Joey will be realeased in the offseason, just like A LOT of other aging vets no longer worth their contract.
 
Maybe JP turns it up a bit and gets some teams intrested? If he could produce in the end of this year and offseason trade for a 3rd round pick would be worth it at this point.

Send him to Cleveland with a 3rd in 2011 for Shaun Rogers. hahah
 
We could get a third to fifth rounder for him but if we package him with Ginn LOL maybe a decent trade or 2nd rounder
