Curious question because i remember before his injury and up until time to draft him most people were stoked to get him. You could even see after we picked him the fans went crazy.

What happened between then and now?

He went vertical about every other play. Literally one, if not the most, aggressive quarterback I have ever seen in college.

BUT, if you watch the Patriots tape on all 22 against us, it was clear they didn't want Tua to go vertical. They kept everything in front of them.

ya I was wondering the same thing. Tua talk was all around as a left handed Drew Brees and a generational talent and people were constantly bashing Herbert leadership , moxie, and accuracy. Now there’s a group claiming they never wanted Tua and wanted Herbert all along, some with receipts, most full of ****. Still doesn’t make any sense why people are bailing after 10 games

Probably because Alabama WRs could get wide open deep so easily. Not so much in the NFL...unless you want your WRs in the hospital.

You're correct and he also threw the ball over 50% of the time on RPO's, and I know that you know in college the vertical routes are able to be utilized in RPO plays in college because line they're able to go three yards down the field in comparison to the NFL. I just don't understand how people aren't excited about this young man finally being healthy, too much fantasy football I guess
