Are we switching to a true 3-4 defense or not? If so, we certainly would have to move Rob Ninkovich and Quentin Moses to OLB from DE. Ninkovich is 6'3" 255 and Moses is 6'5" 260 so they both have the OLB size that Parcells likes. Ninkovich may not have the athleticism to make the move however.

Lets hope they make the team. We are bringing in a lot of people, and I am sure we will add a lot more through the draft and unsigned FA's.

From what I've read, Bill Parcells likes Quentin Moses. So, he'll probably stay. Ninkovich is camp fodder, maybe not even that.

I hope Abraham Wright, from my school, U. of Colorado, gets a shot at OLB.

Moses is well liked by the new regime. Parcells is a big fan of the kid. Nonkovich on the other hand will probably be release with the next waves of cuts.

Yeah, Moses was potential 1st round material, but his work ethic stunk his first year. That is the difference between good and great. Hopefully, Oakland woke his *** up and now he sees the light.

I thought he looked smallish last year compared to other players. If LB would be the move, I think it would be nice to see him make a transition, otherwise, he comes in for spot duty on 3rd downs. He looks bigger in college than in the pros.

Moses definitiely is a 3-4 OLB in this system . . . and hie has great size for the position . . . I honestly think he will thrive in this defense . . . and is ONE of the reasons that Parcells wasn't too concerned with OLB. Obviously trading Taylor means we need to get another person in there . . . but I think Moses will see ALOT of playing time . . . and may start over any rookie we draft . . . atleast at first.

I hope Abraham Wright, from my school, U. of Colorado, gets a shot at OLB.

I think that Abe will definitely get his shot, he looked really good in camp last year. I'd like to see what Ninkovich could do at MLB.

From what I recall last year, many scouts thought Moses would be far better as a LB in a 3-4 in the NFL. We might get a chance to see if they were right.

okay so miami looks like this on defense...
de. matt roth/ vonnie holiday/ randy starks/ rod wright
dt. Jason ferguson/ Paul solia/ randy starks
olb. Joey porter/ jason taylor/ c. alexander/ abe wright/ quentin moses/ derek pope/
ilb. channing crowder/ reggie torbor/ and ?
cb. will allen/ michael lehan/ andre goodman/ travis daniels// joey thomas/
s. jason allen/ yeremiah bell/ renaldo hill/ chris crocker/

so by this miami needs to draft a cb, olb, ilb, and NT on defense... honestly by looking at this how should miami pick to solidify this defense? my guess; curtis lofton, jared meyo, or beau bell

need ILB's bad. we have tons of guys that can come in and play OLB, but we need more ILB's. bell is my favorite, but there are a lot that i like. meyo, connor, lofton, goff - lots of talent.

but with our needs, my mock has us waiting until rd 4 to grab bell. the meyos and connors would be awesome, but that means we wait on CB, TE, D line, etc.. since i like bell the most, i would rather just wait on him.

Definitely need to draft a ILB in this draft . . . Mayo at 32 would be amazing . . . but he wont last that long.

This is per NFL DraftScout on Quentin Moses.

02/07/08 - DE Quentin Moses was a brilliant midseason pickup after two teams gave up on the rookie.

I erased all of the Miami games I Tivo'd last year so I can't go back to review his play with Miami, but by the way he's being spoken of, seems like someone to be excited about for the future of the Miami franchise.
