For a while now (couple seasons), I've referred to Tannehill as a "QB with potential to be an above average game manager"....Now, I think I was wrong with that. I think his ceiling tops out at "regular game manager", he just freaks out and continually does dumb **** under pressure...THOUGHTS?

PS You can win a SB with a QB with Tanny's deficiencies, you just basically need a HOF defense to do it

For all you Tannehill lovers who think he's a "franchise QB" or is going to develop into a top NFL QB, you're going to be waiting a long long time for that. It's not going to happen. He is what he is. An average guy who once in a while will have a big game and that's it. We need to keep looking for a QB.

Brady... Peyton... Marino... Montana... Elway... Rodgers... even Wilson up in Seattle are all Generals on the field... Organizing, shifting, moving and attacking the defense.. Tannehill is more of a Lieutenant... doing what his commanding officers order him to do..

Everyone is entitled to their thoughts but what most of people that are saying wash on the RT project are failing to grasp is our owner, our front office says he is our QB and guess what? He is until they say/do otherwise. If really think rehashing same old arguments on both ends will yield a change of guard at QB, take a time out and talk to some Bear fans that have pissed and moaned for last few years on Cutler needing to be gone. Will have better odds suing your local park for seesaws being unfair to bulimics(if don't get it, take a moment). Rather people are for or against RT, point is he is the QB right now, and whoever the team fields on Sundays, I will watch and either enjoy a win or be depressed after a loss for a hour & then the following week I will watch and start anew.

As far as finding a new Qb, I don't keep up with predraft stuff but so far only heard one name in QB area that could be late 1st rd early 2nd rd pick, other then that what is there?

Jared Goff out of cal and Connor Cook from Msu should be 1st rounders, but not sure of the depth of qbs

If Tannehill continues to play inconsistently, it would not surprise me if Campbell pulls him in favor of Moore. Tannehill may think that he is untouchable but Campbell is auditioning for Miami's coaching job and should do what it takes to win and be successful.

And since Campbell knows a thing or two about football he won't play Moore over Tannehill.

Miami does not presently have a franchise QB. it has an over drafted receiver turned QB who is over paid. A franchise player is someone so critical that if you lost him than your season is finished. That is not the case with Tannehill. Miami has not even sniffed winning its division let alone gone to the play-offs with Tannehill at the helm. Miami will have to keep drafting QBs until they find "the guy". Once that person is in place, then and only then will Miami be relevant.

At the end of the day, with 2 minutes to go in a championship game, Tannehill is NOT the type of QB you can count on. Its not a problem that can be fixed now, but whomever is in charge of the next couple drafts should be looking to upgrade or at least take a longshot - not drafting a QB when Marino was getting older was the dumbest thing this franchise could have ever done (Buffalo did the same thing incidentally look how well it turned out for them).

Not looking to upgrade the QB if/when the opportunity presents itself is just plain ****ing stupid. If Tannehill were to ever develop into this mystical unicorn that several people here think he will become, then he can prove it through competition on the field. So far he has yet to do that.

In the 2016 Draft, Miami should be looking for value at the QB position - Brett Hundley kind of situation.

Tannehill will likely have 2016 to prove himself, and if he does not, the team can cut him and look for a QB in the 1st.

They need to draft a QB to groom and to compete against RT.

He is the starter, until he gets beat out in tc.

Even if they hire a new coach who does not want rt, he will probably keep him for one year,

unless he can trade him for draft pics that is. :finnasty:

There are some good QBs coming out in the draft but does anyone think we need to spend a 1rd pick on one? What do we do with Tannehills contract? I just do not think Tannehill has that big game factor to him. One week he looks great, next week he falls apart and I am tired of so and so impacts his game. The great ones find a way to get it done.
