Ok besides him having his own physic hotline what do we know about cleo lemon? what does he need to work on? what does he do well? who does he compair to? how much upside dose he really have? hows his arm? i think we should compile all the info we can here and analyze him as good as we can.

What did chargers fans have to say about the lemon feeley trade?

Lemon was worth Feeley and a 6th rounder...hell yeah he's better than Feeley. I don't even think Feeley will be here by the time the 06 season starts to tell you frankly...He could even be traded for more picks if you ask me!!!!

Although Lemon has only played preseason he has played better than feeley.I think we should of kept cleo lemon but we still have drew brees thats all that matters.

I dont think neither one is worth much.

Feeley most likely wont be back and has a 3.5 million salary for next year. Say goodbye to him. As for Lemon, he was cheap and if the Chargers werre happy to get a 6th rounder for him...i guess they didnt think much of him either to make that trade.

Dont be fooled by what he did in preseason against scrubs. It means nothing or he wouldnt have been traded.

NFL Network on Feeley trade
-Feeley is not a QB the Chargers were even interested in. He was just "thrown in" with the draft pick (which is really what the Chargers wanted) for Cleo Lemon, and it was easy, because Miami really wanted to get rid of Feeley. SO they are questioning how long Feeley will really be in San Diego, considering his high salary next year.

-Rivers to be traded? They said that his measely $615,000 salary for 2006 is pennies for that type of player in his postion. BUT, if the Chargers were going to trade him (and take the $10 mil salary cap hit) that the time to do it will be for next year, while we are $25 mil under the cap.

It is very strange. Cleo IMO is a better back up. He's god a good arm, plus, he's had the chance to learn the system the past 3 seasons.
IMHO, Lemon can be a starting QB, that's why Miami got him.

LAME Lemon is better then feeley.

I have a headache!!

Why the hand wringing over Cleo Lemon ?
Yes, the guy has potential, but no experience !
If he was good enough to be the number two on this team, doesn't it make sense that the coaches, with the years of experience they have, would have had him there on the depth chart ?

darn, id take lemon over feely anyday
this kinda makes me sad

What are your thoughts on Cleo Lemon, the quarterback recently acquired in a trade by the Dolphins?

Hudson Houck, the Dolphins offensive line coach coached the same position in San Diego and recommended Lemon who was with the Chargers and played well during this past pre-season. He really made good decisions and threw the ball well this pre-season. He is a good athlete, has nice footwork, is a good rollout passer and puts a nice touch on the ball. He plays with a lot of poise and confidence but still needs a lot of work understanding defenses, recognition skills and passing techniques to improve his overall accuracy. He has a good but not great arm and needs to get his body into his throws to generate any zip on the ball.

^tuck the ball when you run!

cleo use to be a steeler and used to play in nfl europe?

and drafted by the ravens

This is not the first time the dolphins pursued cleo lemon

Baltimore released him after training camp that summer, and Lemon spent the fall working as a substitute teacher in Jonesboro, Ark., trying to make ends meet. The next year he was in training camp with the Memphis Xplorers of arenafootball2 when the Chargers, Packers and Dolphins all called in the same week. His first stop was San Diego, and when they made him an offer, he signed. He was on the practice squad in 2003 and then spent last year in the rare role as the No. 4 quarterback behind Brees, Rivers and Doug Flutie.

The Dolphins must think Lemon has a future in the league to deal the pick and Feeley for him. He'll remain behind Gus Frerotte and Sage Rosenfels this year.

"Lemon spent the fall working as a substitute teacher in Jonesboro, Ark., trying to make ends meet."

wasn’t Kurt Warner bagging groceries? (very optimistic post here)
