Not wish or would do but more like what do you see them doing?
At QB, I expect them to let Cutler walk if he even signs anywhere, resign Moore since strictly as a back up, he's alright and roll with Tannehill. No young QB drafted.
At RB I can see Tannenbaum striking a deal for TJ Yeldon. On the last year of his contract and playing sparely despite being very efficient. A trade AFTER the draft, after we've leveraged the need for a RB in trades in the draft trade a 2019 5th RD pick for Yeldon. Yeldon, Drake and Perry looks like a decent RB room to me. Stockpile lost FA to get compensation for in 2019. Let Williams walk.
At WR I think they should let Landry go. Take the compensatory 3rd. Live to fight another day. Stockpile picks and cap space for 2019. 2018 is going to be a test year. If Gase can get us back to at least 8-8 then we have ammo to make another run in 2019 if not we have ammo for a new HC to get started. Carroo can take over the slot. It's only the slot either way. It's the split guys who you want to throw to. I'm also looking forward to Carroo's size and physicality on the slot. You want to be nasty and physical out there. Draft a WR in the sixth RD. A deep threat kind of guy, like Ford was, faster if possible, though. Return abilities would be nice. I'd like a legit back up to each of the top three, a deep threat to back up Stills, Scott to back up Parker and someone like Stringfellow to back up Carroo. Cut Grant, please.
At TE I'd like to draft a balanced TE, kinda like an early Fasano or Sims in the 3rd. Dump Thomas, let Fasano walk (he'll hopefully sign a contract somewhere) let Gray be the starter with the rookie doing blocking and Duarte as the 3rd TE. That's it. Same process as with all other postions, save money, let someone good enough to get another contract go, for compensation and roll with youth.
On the Offensive Line, I'd actually keep the same starters for the most part but would draft depth with talent to challenge. Get James an extension that also lowers his cap hit this season. Keep Tunsil, Larsen and restructure Pouncey. His hit if cut is just $2M so we have leverage. Start Jesse Davis at RG. Draft a swing T and a C/G with both our fourths, keep Brendel and draft a RT with our 7th. Carry all ten at all times. We've been shown how important depth along the O-Line is.
I would spend our top two picks on Defense. If Barkley's still around we'd have a good shot to trade down. If not then our best shot to trade down is giving up on getting Chubb at DE. I'd love to trade down some four slots for a next year second. If Chubb is indeed taken then take Ferrell. He's probably a better pass rusher either way.
Keep Wake at LE as a pass rush specialist, let Hayes walk ( he'll likely get a contract if he doesn't retire) slot Ferrell as the full time starter at LE, Branch at RE with Harris as a pass rush specialist.
Keep everything the same at DT.
Draft another LB in the second round. Take Kendall Joseph to keep the Clemson vibe going. Move Kiko back to MLB. He can clean up after our DTs and OLBs and he's got good instincts to play zone or spy. Just don't get him 1o1 on TEs. So Raekwon at SOLB, Alonso at MLB and Joseph at Will. Keep Allen (he might beat Alonso to a starting job), Hull and Anthony as the back ups. Oh, BTW I'd cut Timmons. Too much money.
Keep Howard, Tank, McCain (whos actually playing well lately), Lippet at CB. I'd like to add another slot corner for depth but make sure it's not a UFA. Maybe they like McTyer.
Let Aikens, Thomas, Verner, Allen, walk. Keep Lucas as the back up FS and Smith as back up SS. Keep McD and Jones starting.
We'd have lots of money and picks for 2019.
