I was wondering if you guys have any special rituals during the draft, do you throw any parties, drink, eat, wear your jerseys, go bar hopping?...what are your plans on Saturday and Sunday?????

Here's mine:

I am going to wake up early and check ESPN and see if there are any last second trades, rumors, and also check online. I then plan on picking out a Phin's jersey just like I do on Sundays. Draft starts around 4PM Est...which is 2 PM here so I will probably do some bar hopping so I can pop my Phin's jersey...usually at Pats/Jets/Bill's fans....nothing like talking a little smack after winning the AFC East. :woot:
My brother has a sport's bar so I will probably pop in there about an hour before draft time for some wings and nachos. I usually bring my draft magazines, and I have some printouts on the top 200 prospects and cross them off as the picks are announced. I figure it will be a three hour wait before we get up to the 25th pick, which will probably be around the dinner hour. I always try to find a Jet's fan to laugh at after they make their pick. Oh Sunday the draft starts really early here...8 am I think, I will just watch this at home, and have some breakfast and bloody marys.

What's your routine/rituals/plans???? Anyone been to the actual draft in New York City...I gotta do this one of these years. I will be too excited to sleep much tonight...it's kind of like being a kid waiting for Santa.

I will have my Dolphins jersey and draft cap on. Some cold beer in the cooler and food on the grill. Its like a Holiday for me =)

No bars for me since I will be stuck at home recovering from surgery. But I will definitely have my Jersey and cap on, watching ESPN and NFLN, browsing Finheaven, and having a few cold ones (they go well with pain meds, lol).
I am not going to be upset with whoever we pick, as long as it isn't Harvin.
I am totally preparing myself for the pick turning out to be a huge surprise.

Normally I go to a buddies place for beers and chow and most importantly a good laugh at his expense seeing that he's a Bungels fan.

I'm going for a ride in the jeep today as I promised my wife I'd do....as far as the draft I like to watch it at home alone as I don't want any distractions...I'll be on-line and in front of the TV....BTW,will there be a chatroom today?

Ozzy rules!!

My wife is packing up the kids as we speak and theY (WIFE & KIDS) ARE spending tonight and most of the day tomorrow at my Mother - in - laws. Just me, a few cold adult beverages, possibly a cheeseteak. I take the phone off the hook and park the car in the garage. I like to watch it without any disturbances.

I am throwing a party like i have done every year for the past six years. A 1/2 keg of Moosehead, a 1/2 keg of something else, liquor, jello shots, tons of food, and side items burgers, dogs and brats for cooking on the grill all day long. And plenty of keg stands, beer pong and dizzy bats. Aside from dolphin playoff games, it is my favorite weekend of the year.

I think so... There was one last year and it was a pretty good time. Looking forward to it again.

I can't wait!

+1

I do the exact same thing, including shipping the wife and kids to the in-laws out of state.

Last year went to Dolphin stadium for the draft party. It was great, but with it starting at 4pm I'm staying here and going to my friend's house who also has season tickets for a small get together. Only hardcore Phins fans are allowed. We get too wound up to go to a bar around here. And I'll be sporting my Pennington jersey all day.

I need to find a great cigar to take over there. It gets lit when we go on the clock.
