A little off beat here, but what the hell does Eddie Jones do? He is not a football man, that is for sure. Seen this guy speak and he is totally unimpressive. For years Shula handled everything, and then JJ came in. Needless to say he ran everything football related as well. So Eddie just sat there. Now that we need imput from up above, this guy is clueless. May be part of the reason Wannstedt is still with us.

Guess this is the position Marino was going to fill. We need to get somebody above Spielman and Wanny ASAP. Who is providing the vision for this organization, and making sure Wanny and Rick are up to par?

He's the team president. Which means he oversees the entire organization. He's not really expected to have a football mind. He's running the business.

from the Dolphin Media Guide:

"Eddie J. Jones, in his 36th season in the NFL, was named President of the Dolphins on January 16, 1996, after previously serving as the team's Executive Vice President and General Manager (1990-95) and as Vice President of Administration and Finance (1988-89). In his current capacity, Jones directs the business operation of the Dolphins and acts as the teams representative at all National Football League meetings."
