I dare ask the Question what is it that the F.O. And Wayne think he brings this team?

He is known as a good defensive coordinator and not a great leader but he is reportedly not gonna change or mess with capers defense. His alibi to not being blamed in Atlanta is he didnt/doesnt control the offensive side of the ball. So if he isnt gonna be control the defensive side of the ball or the offensive side of the balll then in a Head Coach your looking for someone with great leadership capibilites but everything coming out of Atlanta states the opposite.

So basically he is gonna come in here and allow the team to continue to run their same defense from last year(which is a good thing) He is also gonna allow Mularkey to call the shots again next year since he has no offensive knowledge and do this all while being a so-so at best leader of this team?

To me we can do a whole lot better than Jim Mora Jr. and I just dont understand what anyone sees in him when you take into the above accounts.

Can anyone give their thoughts/insights?

Thanks Dolphins Rule!:dolphins:

Why start a thread, why not just pose the question in the 2000 other threads already started on the subject?

personality? Team motivation? If Culpepper is 100% next season and we get a number 1 receiver, it shouldnt matter who the coach is. As long as we score some points and our defense is as good as it was this season.

I don't want to see gailey and his run the ball 70% of the time mentality running our team.

If we're really confident in our coordinators (assuming Garrett gets the OC), I see no reason not to go after a motivator/inspirational speaker like Singletary. Maybe I'm wrong, but Mora Jr. and Gailey just don't seem like they could fire up a team

An upbeat attitude.

We need some optimism here. Mora seems like a positive guy. He'll work well with Capers and if Garrett becomes our Offensive coordinator, we'll have a good young, bright staff with some heavy NFL experience on the defensive side of the ball.

You kiddin' me? It matters everything in the world who our head coach is. You think this rudderless ship of fools is gonna sail to a super bowl on it's own???
Yeah, right...

Mora and Gailey are Jokes.....they make about as much sence as the statement above....

I would rather go after Singletary in this situation that the Owner has put us in as well, if the coach is forced to keep DC and OC and he is a Defensive mind but wont change the defense at all and knows nothing about offense when that was the problem last year and he is not a good leader/motivator then why hire him?

we cant win in this league without a head coch who is going to actually going to contribute in some kinda way to make this team better than just the fact that he is a optimistic guy.

hell if thats all it takes to get the coaching job in Miami they can hire me i can be optimistic....lol

clearly your post is an exaggeration, but if we ran something like 55% of the time, that wouldnt be so bad... there have been countless articles saying ronnie brown is under-utilized, running something like 16 times a game.... and with ricky possibly returning, what other part of the team offensively is as capable, especially considering Culpepper as a question mark heading into the season?

We need a motivational speaker? Let's not overlook Matt Foley. He's young (35 years old), single and therefore won't be distracted by family matters (thrice divorced), and he'll probably live at the Dolphins facilities 24-7 watching game tape, as it would be an upgrade over his current living situation (in a van, down by the river).

Well, la-dee-freakin'-da!
