connected the various Miami media sources are? The Herald stands out as sincerely convinced that Miami had no interest in Vick. Jason Cole was adamant about Miami not being interested in Vick. Armando was very descriptive in his critic of Vick at mini camp. Other writers were a little easier on Vick, but most didn't think he had a chance. I am sure when Jason returns to his Q&A in a couple of weeks many are going to rehash his stance on Vick. Goes to show you Saban only knows what Saban is really going to do.

Yeah, that's pretty true...there's always that hear say...but when something goes down a majority of the time they seemed to be shocked...ala Vick being signed :)

BTW I see you on Jason's Q&A all the time... :)

and what about majority of people on this web-site??? according to "these" specialists, vick is the most overrated player with no skills and no chance to make it in the nfl...i guess Saban sees something special about this kid
So did I!!! Ever since he way playing for Vtech last year, i knew the kid is one heck of a player.
We just got the STEAL of the draft guys

and what does it say about the people on this site who think Cleo Lemon is the second comming?

Nothing, since Vick is going to be playing backup punter.

Seriously, how many of you actually believe Vick is being brought in as a QB?

He won't make the team. If he makes the 53 man roster, I would cry.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Lets first wait to see if he makes the final 53 man roster before we start making bold predictions about him being the steal of the draft.

Let's also not use the word "steal" in the same sentence with "Vick", wouldn't want to give him any ideas for new crimes to commit....

Nothing. Vick is not the second comming either. He was offered a contract. What does this means? NOTHING. Lets at least wait until he play a meaningful down.

I'd say calling Vick "the steal of the draft" is a bit much. I think a best case scenario for Vick this year is he makes the practice squad this year and is activated for a couple games and sees some special teams duty. I'd say undrafted prospects like Trent Bray or Gerald Riggs Jr. are more likely to contribute than Vick this year. And next year, Rodrique Wright will truly prove he was the steal of the 2006 draft.

These various Miami media sources were probably expressing their personal views on Vick and not anything they heard from a coach or player.
Vick, if he makes through pre season, will probably be on the practice squad for the year. He has a lot of fundamentals to learn. Not to mention some maturing to do.
